I know I am biased here but what about those who had tickets for the tour that was cancelled. Surely we should also feature in that. I had 4 lots in different places!

 

I understand where you’re coming from, but the deal for first dibs for tickets for those who had tickets to the 2021 Vegas shows came from Resorts World, not Team Celine.

I believe it will be in November and rehearsals have been taking place for a while. It’s why Carrie Underwood is literally the only resident on the books at Resorts World. The theatre is dark most nights BECAUSE she was / is rehearsing.

I think she’s definitely rehearsing already but not in the theater or capacity that we think. Just the initial stages so far seeing if she can handle the stage etc… we still know her entire band and backup singers are in Canada not Vegas, I don’t think rehearsals are too advanced yet. Probably deciding set list, visuals, etc.

Which is why I have been saying that her new album must be recorded in front of a live audience like Thalia did back in 2009 with the smash 'Primera Fila'. It was literally after a break she had taken due to health problems - dealing with Lyme disease. Have a look at wikipedia and YouTube for clips, a similar setting and guest singers would do wonders for Celine IMO.

Ah right didn't realise that was an actual thing. Still harsh on European fans who had tickets. If she hadn't been due to tour Europe I'd have bought Vegas tickets! Not really fair in my opinion.

Since they are planning on doing a residency show this fall. I wonder how much change for the setlist. Given the fact that Celine showed her condition to the public. I assume they will eliminate the lipped parts and will make the audience sing along with her more. I really hope they will make an effort also with the visuals. - mostly, visuals helps to cover some issues as it distracts them with the great visuals.

Not June?! What a bummer you have said so many things and given us so many dates.... Now July/August then it will be August/September then it will be...? Just hold your horses and wait for the real date from a real source. Your predictions are getting you nor anyone else nowhere

Personally, after 4 years away, I think it’s very plausible that she’ll have to construct a new band, as they’ve all been moving on to other projects while she’s been away. She may get Scott Price, Dominique Messier, Elise and Dawn back but that’s probably it. Remember most of the band were relative newcomers in the grand scheme of things anyway.

And particularly interesting to read that they actually finished the film, including post production, by Christmas 2022. So they sat on it for a year and a half, probably waiting for release until Celine was ready to be back.

So yes, I expect a Vegas announcement shortly.

 

And if she's ready for an hour+ Vegas show possibly as soon as Nov, surely she's ready for one song in Paris in July, right? Right?! T- 3 weeks and we'll know.

Surely if Celine was already inside RW actually “rehearsing” something would’ve leaked… either we would’ve saw her band/ backup singers in Vegas ( and they aren’t there yet) and IF she was hiring new people I’m sure we would’ve heard of some kind of audition process. I think the show will happen this fall but I think the process isn’t at venue rehearsing yet, she is probably in contact with Scott, discussing the vision and vocally training as much as possible.

Yes this interview really was informative. So nice to hear about RC. Irene really was not there that much so I am sure RC came around at times. When hear she was there for almost a year kind of makes you think she was there most days when in reality it was just a few days a month.

Yeah, my suspicion as well that she's just working with Scott and maybe a handful of others.

 

I watched to some of those seminars posted by the SPS Research Foundation from their latest symposium (I had posted the link here - learned lots; recommend), and someone asked about SPS' impact on vocal cords. The doctor who answered (it wasn't Amanda, interestingly; I assume because her association with Celine had not yet been disclosed) said that patients whose vocal cords are affected often do speech therapy and botox injections. So I wonder if in addition to working with a vocal coach, as she has for years, Celine might also be working with a speech therapist.
