She sounded great and looked amazing! Flawless!

 

They really don't like adding layers of vocals. They just want céline to do it all lol especially the end. They can just add the studio vocals in "i need i need", "i got my own". - you can here that at the background.

 

But i love how she sounded. Top quality. This!! :)

 

Also the flathead screwdriver brows style returns... anyways. lol

Imperfections No 41 on us Itunes. She needs to sing more songs live

It jumps from 800 itunes pre show. Now at 41. Album also jump to 19. The power of 22 million viewers

 

And again this proves the best promo for Celine has always been tv. Traditional promotion still works for her, that's why Sony has usually focused on that. This performance will do more for the song than any music video would ever. I still hope she will have time from now until Christmas to do some more tv promo, it will help to keep the album alive.

Ok I’m reading the tweets. Almost all are positive and also they’re saying she looked gorgeous and saying she didn’t age. Yup! I agree she looks flawless! I’m so happy :) Edited by jpatdeleon09

I would say she looks more tired than sad. She was quite busy during her NYC visit.

The saving grace of this exposure is it's positive effect on itunes and other charts. And the articles about her gorgeous blue outfit. 😍

 

 

 

That, and about how she couldn't be bothered to show up at the actual parade and sing outdoors like everyone else, and how she did a "dull and depressing" song, and how the whole thing was inappropriate for the occasion.

 

On the plus side, lots are saying she looked and sounded great, so there's that. And you can't deny it's excellent exposure.

 

Certainly a divided reaction, but thankfully there seems to be an iTunes (and presumably streaming) uplift, so here's hoping this saves her from falling out of the top 100 this week. Chart cutoff is end-of-day today.

 

I believe the entire thing gets re-aired later, so there'll be more impact from the rerun, and from the west coast audience (for them, the 9am start in NYC was 6am, and nobody gets up at 6 on a holiday!)

That said...there is no such thing as a song tailored to the Thanksgiving holiday, imho. Courage has happier songs, but it’s not really a happy album lol.

Each performer only has a certain length of time.

Each performer only has a certain length of time.

Most of these marching bands fundraise for months to get their band over to NYC to perform at this thing, and NBC often only shows 30 seconds of their performance. Let's be glad she got the ~3min she did.

I can't see nothing wrong with I being performed for that occasion,

because it has such a lovely message of acceptance

and empower one's self.

 

On a side note, I have no doubt, that performing other new songs from the album live

where Celine adds her "thouch" will make the songs to stand out a bit more.

It's all about the way she deliver it, not the production imo.

No actually, it’s céline. If you watched the taping of this performance. Céline is kinda lost especially at the end. It’s like she doesn’t know how to end the song. She performed this song twice. The first one she stop singing at the middle of the song like she forgot what it should sound like.

 

I know there’s a video of that behind the scenes (fan cam)

 

But the sound quality is great. It doesn’t sound like raw and cheap.

 

But now she knows how to end it since she already included this song to her tour setlist :)

Well, Celine sounded and looked gorgeous, if people want to talk about "infections" or not singing outside or whatever, as long as that helps her be higher on the charts, well then knock yourself out.

Celine sounded great but I hate to admit it the performance was soooo boring. It's like Celine was not feeling the song just standing there like a log. Why can't she project the way she did in the music video, all those movements, hand gestures and poses... Making things worse, the way they edited the song and cut the 2nd chorus... And the ending is really horrible. I dont know who among the team (ornmay Celine herselr) decided to end the song that way even in the tour version... I think his time as passed. He did a good job a revamping Vegas and the summer tour 2016... Not impressed with Courage World Tour

Wow. Now fans have come to the conclusion that if the setlist isnt to their standards, Celine should fire her musical director/ put him in his place so he doesnt feel “too comfortable”.... *pretends to be shocked*

Isnt that what they did with Mego...? He plateaued and got chopped 🙅🏻‍♂️
