Sorry, but I don't get the whole Bond fuss. Might be that it reminds the listeners of a Bond song but other than that a Bong song is nearly always (definately that applies to all Danial Craig Bond films) named after the film title. And next years film called "No Time To Die".

 

Are you forgetting that Patti LaBelle recorded “If You Asked Me To” as the Bond theme for License to Kill?

So i slowed down the clip to try to hear it better - So one clip I hear “play me like a love song, in the air everywhere, THEN play me like... but the next syllable doesn’t sound like “a” like the last line before it - it sounds like “YOUR” to me and then the next word sounds like it starts with a “R or a “W” and the next syllable sounds like a “A”, so sounds like a word that begins like “raaaaa” or “WA” like “waa” (example the word waiting but wwaaiit is stretched out “ but I can’t make it out all the way - I’ll keep trying - also I’m trying to figure out what that small clip of the song says in that next clip at the beginning before the “stay within your arms ” part starts - I’m still working on that Edited October 24, 2019 at 01:28 AM by kellyfan161

Ok UPDATE - OR I’m getting “play me like a love song in the air everywhere, play me like your “brea...” sounds like the beginning of the word “breaking” but don’t know if that’s the full word just the beginning sounds like it - It’s hard to tell if she says a “br” or just an “r” sound. Someone posted in another thread it could be falling in love again....when I think about the title with the lyrics we've heard, it could be her talking about falling in love again (or maybe referencing Rene falling in love again??)....stay within your arms, nothing will divide us, our love can't be broken....

Yeah it could be “grea” too...the “brea” and “grea” sound so similar in English it’s hard to tell - I’m gonna get my good headphones and see if I can pin point it right now haha - the “is enough” doesn’t sound right to me..the “ufff” sound I don’t hear...but like I said I’m no expert haha

I speak portuguese, so english is not my native language... But in this case the audio quality is very poor, we can't actually hear 100%

I don’t think it says any of that, except the “nothing will divide us” is right - no offense though 😁😁

It’s “stay within your arms” not “room” from what I hear

Celine had her heydays and was not asked to deliver a song for a Bond film in the 90s. So why would they now?!

 

She simply is not edgy and cool enough for the bond producers and Sony is not pushing them to consider Celine, unfortunately.

 

My hushband is a great Bond fan and he said: why would they choose Celine in the nineties films (1995, 1997, 1999), she was too much linked with titanic and Disney and slow love songs. I don't think it will happen, but this is a better time to do than the 90ties. She has a different style and image now.

Let's assume that they set aside a lot / most / all of the traditional style ballads from the Courage sessions to make the album totally contemporary and on-message in terms of trying new things, being bold, etc. In this case, the next album will probably be a "traditional love songs" album, so it would make sense that they are holding onto PMLALS for the next album. Would actually make a really classic title track for a Celine album (reminds me of LTAL).

I still think that they should release a bigger than life double album with a big bang that would contain 20 contemporary uptempo songs and 20 power ballads making it an iconic album, one that she never released before in her entire career and thus one of her very best albums (if not THE BEST) ever. The audio cuts out at that particular bit but the word definitely starts with RA so I’ve always assumed she says “Play me on the radio...”

Wasn't Tina Turner beyond her haydays whne she did Goldeneye? My though on Celine doing a bond theme is she's doing so coz of her legend status and not coz she's the thing at the moment.

I don't think that was ever confirmed. It was a theory came up by me judging from Irit's instagram. I also thought the song would be in a movie coz she had lots of posts with that hashtag that also were related to Humerto Gatica. But I guess this Irit has a lot of balls in the air (is that a saing in ENG too?? Lol).

 

I thought PMLALS was written by Diane Warren and Bonnie Greenberg? Wasn’t this information confirmed last summer or I’m dreaming ?

 

On a side note, all the songs written by Diane Warren for Celine didn’t make the final cut on Courage and that’s a good thing since all her songs from the past 10 years suck.

I 100% think Irit is more clever than we're giving her credit for with this. The song snippet purposely cuts off at a strategic part, probably where the title would have actually revealed itself. I think it's just bugging us all now not knowing whether or not it's actually on the album. Not getting my hopes up but I'll def be scanning each song first to find out for sure before I actually listen to the album all the way through, just to satisfy my curiosity once and for all.
