Which is a bit late, especially if theyre wanting to do promo in the UK and Europe for then announcing European and UK dates later on

Well yes, she has a show scheduled in Paris on July 2nd 2020

Meaning she definitely has a European leg of the tour scheduled

Is Paris a fixed date? Are there any other European dates yet?

It was confirmed on the Columbia website, but that's the only published date I'm aware of outside of North America at this stage.

Well yes, she has a show scheduled in Paris on July 2nd 2020

Meaning she definitely has a European leg of the tour scheduled

Oh WOW! now I wonder what is the best place to see her live I would like to hug her!

Well someone just above posted a full list of that info

After the tremendous success of the Hyde Park concert, I got to thinking about how the general public was ADORING the setlist. It was such a dreamy selection of songs for casual fans and it was also a treat for a lot of us hardcore fans. It worked beautifully in that setting.

But it also made me realize the setlist for the Courage World Tour could be tricky. We all want the audiences for this tour to be loving every second of the show. And the only way that's possible is if it's by and large her biggest hits / most well-known songs along with a few new songs from her Courage album and maybe a surprise cover or two (like IMAGINE).

The sad reality is that audiences won't eat up random songs from her past albums. She can maybe do one or two at most. I think back to when I saw Shania Twain recently and audience members went to get drinks / chatted / went to the bathroom during her lesser known songs or her new songs.

With that said -- Like many of you have mentioned before, I think it would be so great if Celine did a One Night Only concert of rare songs -- at some place like the Ace Hotel in LA or at a meaningful theatre such as the Olympia --that then gets live-streamed or released on Netflix. This would satisfy us hardcore fans who desperately crave performances of songs from her past albums. Then she could just focus on the crowd pleasers for the big world tour.

Luckily, regardless -- Celine still has plenty of well-known songs she could include in the Courage setlist that she hasn't performed in a while -- like If You Asked Me To, Where Does My Heart Beat Now, Water From The Moon, I Drove All Night, Immortality etc. etc.

I imagine the tour will be her biggest hits, a few new songs from the new album, and a couple of fabulous covers. I just can't imagine it will be a lot of songs from her past albums. That will have to be for another time and place. And I'm fine with that! I would rather have the audiences leaving with their jaws dropped open and tear-stained faces like we saw with the Hyde Park Concert. Why risk losing their attention with random songs that we might love but most people don't give a toot about? This is the burden we must carry as hardcore Celine fans. :giggle:

She could add... “A New Day Has Come Radio Remix”, “I Drove All Night”, “If You Asked Me To”, “Water From The Moon”, “Call The Man”, “Have You Been In Love”, “I Surrender”, “Declaration Of Love”, “Lets Talk About Love”, “Eyes On Me”, “Where Does My Heart Beat Now “, “Goodbyes The Saddest Word”...... any of those could fit in to the show and MOST people would know them.

But she should do some lesser popular tracks of some of her most successful albums like....

“Right In Front Of You” from ANDHC

“If That’s What It Takes” from FIY

“Us” from LTAL

all 3 of those albums were massively successful in the era of album sales and people deserve more credit for knowing them.

God no please absolutely not i surrender. That song is lovely. I absolutely love it. One of my favorites...but its had its time as far as performances. Its not going to be sung live and its kind of a long song so its honsstly 5 solid minutes of wasted time.

Im extremely surprised she didnt sing it in Asia in 2018, its done on like every talent show there and is LOVED. Maybe the Courage world tour will see its return to Asia :giggle:

How did you calculate the estimated total available? Those numbers are far smaller than the arenas’ capacities so I can’t understand why Céline would choose to add another show in some cities before the arena is even filled up. I really hope you’re wrong so we can see larger audiences.

Because, end stage shows normally only fit 75% of the arenas capacity. An end stage will cut off an entire side of the arena, meaning at least 3-4,000 per arena will be cut off, reducing the size of the arenas. Look at, for example, her shows in London in 2017. O2 Arena holds 20,000 people, but in an end stage environment she had around 15,000 in the audience. Ive multiplied all maximum capacities by 0.75 to achieve these *ESTIMATED* numbers. And the reason shes added more dates is because of demand, for example, the first Boston date was 75% sold out in around an hour and a half, leading to a second date being added. And the numbers are hardly small, Chicago alone fits 15,000, Cleveland 14,000, Detroit too

But I still think you underestimated the total available. For example, Wikipedia says that for the KFC Yum! Center the end stage capacity is 17500 not 14080 like you wrote and for Fargodome it’s 22000 for end stage, not 12160. This does mean that she has sold a smaller percentage but she still has months to sell out and I’m sure she will.

Some arenas which give end stage capacities:

Louisville: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFC_Yum!_Center

Fargo: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fargodome

Nashville: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridgestone_Arena

Tulsa: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BOK_Center

Baltimore: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Farms_Arena

Pittsburgh: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPG_Paints_Arena

^ it depends how many seats they decided to open up for sale. it could be that the stage is bigger, or they close some very high sections or something

Those numbers are not accurate for a number of reasons.

1) Celines capacities are always smaller as she uses fixed seating for the floor area, she never has it in the mosh style where you can fit a huge number more than expected. So that cuts capacity. For example, Mall Of Asia Arena in the Philippines, holds 15,000 and yet Celine only had 8,000 either night. Qudos Arena in Sydney holds 21,000 but either night Celine only had 13,000

2) Her stage is always cutting off the back section and its always rather forward, so it limits a large amount of the floor aswell, meaning again, a reduced capacity.

3) Celine almost always follows the 0.75 method. If you multiply the max capacity of any venue she has been at by 0.75, you will almost always find it matches the capacity she had for the show, in some cases even smaller. The 02 normally holds 16,500- 17,000 (or so they say) for end stage capacity, yet Celine had an audeince per night of around 15,00.

4) Max capacities are never actually fulfilled. If you look at most any venues “notable events” the capacity of concerts never matches the numbers provided for a number of reasons. One being the size and shape / configuration of stages, capacities provided dont take this into account when creating capacities for publishing, they also are rough guildines mostly in place for safety reasons. For example in relation to Fargodome, Justin Timberlake had a capacity of

15,639 , Justin Bieber 12,000, Paul McCartney just over 18,000, Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks, 17,200 per night at their 4 night stint. They dont add up, because they all vary in config, seating, set and most of those were in the round shows too.

She said she will return soon, I wonder when that will be

"Needed in the chaos and confusion, from the plains to City Hall

Needed where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"
