I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

It seems she manages to always get the worst interviewees... This time she interviews this guy, a friend of a Celine fan and he just outrights admits he just tagged along and manages to throw shade at Celine... The friend-Celine fan had to counter his friend and defend Celine. What an a**hole, and to think it seems his Celine fan-friend even paid for his ticket...

https://youtu.be/ouT2nGKGYIw

This is Tranna Wintour, who has that long-running Sainte Celine show. Plus they have the Chosen Family podcast. This is their shtick.

Thomas and Tranna are on the Nov 20th episode of this podcast: https://www.cbc.ca/l...o/1-383-lets-go

Talking about their own podcast (Chosen Family) and their Celine show (Sainte Celine) and how it all came to be in the first place - they met at Rene's funeral and that was how their friendship and both these shows essentially came to be!

As we already know, the CityNews clip above is from before the Mon concert, and Tranna came out of the concert (at least somewhat) converted, so it's interesting to also hear them give a review of that show afterwards on this podcast (about 8:30min in).

Their own podcast, Chosen Family, is here.

You can hear the Celine episode (from around the time of her 50th birthday here), though don't say I didn't warn you!

I think when evaluating the setlist it’s important to remember that Montreal fans got a completely different show this time to what they got in 2016. For example, this time Céline sang many more English hits such as “I’m Alive”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Prayer” and “All by Myself”. In fact, this is the first time in 25 years that Céline performed “Beauty and the Beast” in a Montreal show!

However, I do find it strange that some songs that wouldn’t typically be performed in certain cities seem to keep coming back for some reason. Examples:

- “To Love You More” performed in North America in all 4 world tours despite not being a huge hit there

- “The Prayer” performed in Montreal both in TCWT and Courage World Tour

- “Lady Marmalade” performed in Québec City both in 2008 SLP and Courage World Tour

- Many more (LCMM, RDMH...)

I've wondered the same thing! (My job involves user testing/analytics, too.) I do wonder how much the decisions she and her team make are based on what they assume the audience wants versus what data/feedback shows they want.

Awesome :) Yeah for sure, it would be really interesting to see what they're basing it on.

They must know something that we don't. But in general, I think veteran acts need to exploit their old repertoire on tour. People are nostalgic and like to hear the old songs they grew up with listening to that act. Madonna is probably one of the exceptions to this "rule" and many people actually complain about that with her tour. Hard to please everyone!!

Oh I agree, I mean I'm not upset that she does old stuff on tour, its expected. I'm just curious is all.

This tour must be filmed and released as a documentary.

;)

If they don’t, it really will be tragic!

I paid £340 for my ticket - and she is basically ignoring the album. Of course I will complain about the product. :innocent:

:sofunny: Celine DNA! :giggle:

How close were you to the stage?

Nothing will be as tragic as not releasing the 2016 mini tour.

I will be SO disappointed if Lying Down is no longer being done. Not to mention, the tour is supposed to be promoting the new album and now that it's out, I would hate to see it not getting its due notice. Does anyone know if she is on tonight and what the remainder of November schedule is?

She is off until December 1 show in Chicago

Next show is on Dec. 1 in Chicago. She has 8 shows until Dec. 14 and then she's off until Jan 8. You can see the schedule on her website under In Concert.

That's why it's incredibly frustrating when she sings the SAME dozen hits over and over. I'd love to hear Dreaming of You or the title song FIY, live. Immortality and LTAL on the LTAL tour were also amazing.

You mean... she DID do songs from an album her tour was named after? :pinch:

Had a browse on ticketmaster at all the uk shows, very few tickets left. Looks like this whole leg will be a sell out. On the london show on Friday there is just 1 ticket available !!

She grossed 498.9 million dollars in concert tours this decade......I'm really excited to see what courage world tour add to this number.

So I went to see Celine's show at the Bell Centre last Friday. Here's my review with the setlist.

1. It's all coming back to me now: it's a great opening. People love it.

2. Dans un autre monde: Great song and her stage presence is awesome!

3. À vous: boring... next!

4. I'm alive: a fan favorite, stage design and lightning is awesome.

5. The power of love: Everyone in the Bell Centre had their cellphone's light turned on... it was beautiful and Celine loved it.

6. Love can move mountains: It's time to let this one go. Good night forever LCMM.

7. Beauty and the beast: a rare song for Montreal, so it's a good one and people loved it.

8. Encore un soir: beautiful song and stage design. Loved it!

9. You're the voice: it's a good song and the crowd liked it. But it could be replaced easily by something else.

10 . Tous les blues sont écrits pour toi: It's great, but the crowd reaction was not the best.

11. Ziggy: Definitely a crowd favourite, but personnality, I don't care about the song. Would have prefer On ne change pas.

12. Courage: Great song and stage design!

13. All by myself: Excellent as always, very long standing ovation (about 2-3 minutes).

14. Imperfections: It sounded great and the crowd reaction was very good for a new song.

15. The prayer: Excellent! Definitely an highlight of the show.

16. S'il suffisait d'aimer: not my favourite song, but definitely a fan favourite.

17. Dance medley: I didn't like it. It feels very weird and the people around me didn't care. The crowd liked it when River deep, mountain high started...

18. My heart will go on. Still sounding amazing 20 years after. The drones are very nice. Longest standing ovation I have seen in a live show :)

19. Pour que tu m'aimes encore acoustic: very good, but the song's missing 1 minute feels weird. She should perform the whole song.

Overall, it's a very good show, but not perfect. The highlights for me were Dans un autre monde, The power of love, Courage, All by myself and the prayer. But I feel the song order is weird and she should do sets (a French number, a new songs' number, etc.)

For the English shows, I would tweak the setlist with this:

INTRO/DIVA BALLADS' SET

1. It's all coming back to me now

2. The power of love

3. If you asked me to

4. To love you more

NEW ALBUM SET

5. Courage

6. Lying Down

7. Imperfections

**Maybe Flying on my own?**

BALLADS SET

8. All by myself

9. Beauty and the beast

10. The prayer

11. You're the voice

12. Tous les blues sont écrits pour toi

COVERS' SET

13. Dance medley (I don't think it's gonna change)

FIRST ENCORE/ UPTEMPO SONGS

14. I'm alive

15. Love can move mountains

16. That's the way it is

SECOND ENCORE

17. My heart will go on

18. Because you loved me acoustic

Just added over 450+ new tickets for the Albany date only 2 weeks before the show... WHY do they do this?

On a better note, the European leg, as expected, has sold incredibly. Even the German dates better than i expected considering theres like 6 shows in that one country. Friends Arena is impressive too, sold very well and theres still 9 months to go. Nothing compares to Paris though, that was insane

Well we do have the Tokyo concert in high quality bluray.. I think the setlist is quite similar. even though i do not like the golden suit
