Thankfully I'm only here from New York, so not too far away. And Montreal is always a good trip. But still, sad.

 

And it doesn't bode well. Did she bite off more than she can chew with this tour schedule? I'm sure the constant flying back and forth to see the kids doesn't help. It must all be so stressful for her. I don't know how she handles it.

 

Exactly what I thought when I first saw the schedule in April. Very ambitious. That's partly why I went for an early show I thought before issues would have set in. Sadly I was wrong.

Well, it had been a while since she last cancelled (since May '18?), so statistically it was bound to happen...But damn, that sucks for all the people going to those shows, especially the ones travelling far.

 

I'm guessing stress may be a factor. Not to mention the fact that she's been meeting with hundreds of people (interviewers, co-workers, fans) for weeks now and flu season is around the corner.

Yeah will have to hold out for France next year, but it isn't quite the same as seeing Celine in Montreal!

I hope she gets better soon! I hate that she is sick. This isn’t good for it being the beginning of the tour. But, I imagine this does explain her vocal hiccups during the beginning of the tour. I just hope she truly takes the rest she needs. I feel so bad for her. I know she wanted desperately to dive headfirst into this tour, and she did, but I hope she learns to know her limits. I know she does, but I hate to see her sick. Get well soon, Queen!

I don't remember saying her voice is over. I was just saying her voice is shot in some notes. What is wrong with that? I was merely stating what is observable. You can't expect all celine fans to just see pink in celine's world especially when it's obvious something is going on.

I think it’s a little strange the team hasn’t posted anything on her Facebook page, I thought they’d let the general public know. Maybe the local promoters are doing it this time? I think she was trying to push through which is why they’re announcing it 24 hours before the beginning of the first show.

 

Whatever the case, my heart aches for her!

Where did this come from? The evening website is still advertising tickets and I haven't had an email.

First the promoter, and then every local news outlet.

Maybe they are trying to avoid it on her social media due to it looking bad if they are releasing the European dates tomorrow and a new music video. Ugh the timing is so awful! Not that it’s ever good timing, but she must feel really terrible about this.

On her last Québéc show she cut LEE and cut PQTME down majorly. We thought it was the stage breakdown process causing the cut but maybe she felt like she couldn’t sing the songs. I hate this!!!

You have a mighty good point there! This is so awful, in so many ways. I just wish her a safe, timely recovery. I wish she wouldn’t do all the flying back and forth to Vegas either, the altitude and drastic climate change isn’t good. But I get her maternal instinct coming out.

the thing is that you always say the same thing at the beginning of every tour, and she proved time and time again that it was just normal for her in the first shows. But you don't remember and say her voice is shot, i'm just fed up to read those posts by the same people. And seeing everything with scratched sun glasses is not a sign that one see the reality.

Well, glad I saw the Quebec dates since I won’t be able to make November 😔

 

At least now we know that there’s something wrong.. that’s why her voice is not in top shape... so, she needs to do what she’s been doing back in late-early 90’s... no talking for a week to fully recover and rest

I feel so bad for her. Yeah, it's sad for the many of us that traveled, but imagine living daily with the knowledge that every time you get sick, thousands of people are affected. About 80,000 people in this case. That's... a lot of disappointment and anger to carry on one's shoulders. I just don't know how she deals with that kind of stress.

 

If she's in Vegas, hope she got a big hug from her boys.
