Something I noticed and wanted to share:

 

We often complain that the way Celine sings nowadays is weird and unlike the Celine we know, but Celine already had a weird way of singing a very long time ago if you look at this clip beneath as an example.

The difference is that back then Rene pushed her and required so many takes from her until they got the perfect one, and the end result was clear and impeccable. Nowadays she sings it a few times and her people praise her for every take and leave it at that.

 

How did she sing weird? And how did Rene correct her?

I think JJG is correcting her also when recording in french.. but Kara needs to go beck

I tried to message her on insta asking if she has any future plans in working with Céline again and saying how great a producer she is.

I saw a comment on YouTube (the video was famous people of different countries, and for Canada it was Justin Bieber), so someone said it should be Celine Dion.

 

And the replies came as, that no JB is more popular "for sure" and Celine is not that popular in foreign countries.

 

What do you all have to say about this?

Nothing. All the comments you see on YouTube are mainly massive fans of different singers.

 

All you just see are stans lol

So, finally i started listening to Adele’s new album “30”, I just finished “To Be Loved”, and the last part where she belts the song reminds me of Céline’s voice in AMA 2015 singing “Hymne a L’amour”.

 

I like Easy On Me and To Be Loved.. I’ll listen to the rest later..

It's a shame that the mods seem to neglect the forum lately. It could be modified, new pictures in the background, a bit more of a modern design etc

I actually found it quite endearing. It makes sense to tweet out recipes during the holiday times, right?

Personally, it did nothing for me and I found it embarrassing. Each to their own. :)

Well I am in a way glad to see SOMETHING on her social media (as there has been NOTHING posted on her aocial media since the announcement of her shows cancelled, which was almost 2 months ago now!)

 

The thing that does still worry me though... Remember in 2014 when Celine cancelled/postponed a whole bunch of shows? & I remember when it all first started, we had NO.UPDATES from her team for several MONTHS! From August 2014 (when the hiatus started), to March 2015 we heard NOTHING from Team Celine! Then in March 2015 we got that "Good Morning America" interview where Celine finally told the world why she went on a hiatus, because of RENES CANCER... (Which I recall some of the fans on social media back thrn had sadly suspected that Renes cancer had returned being the reason of the sudden hiatus, but still we had NO.UPDATES from Celine or her team in months so nobody really knew for sure what was going on!)

 

& now this current situation feels like the SAME THING is happening again just like 2014! Celine could possibly be going through a worse health crisis & she just might not yet be ready to tell the world about it (now I am not saying she has cancer or anything like that, but she might have something more severe than the muscle spasms/menopause going on that has caused her to cancel months of shows... & there is NO GUARANTEED that the "Courage World Tour" wont get postponed again, or even cancelled, just because it has not happened yet, does not mean it wont happen! Just like in 2014 & 2015, it has happened before where she had to cancel a whole bunch of shows!

 

I am of course hoping & praying that it WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN, but right now NOBODY KNOWS & it could explain Celines COMPLETE SILENCE since the cancellations... Just saying ����

I thought it was one of the better things they’ve done in recent past. Now, the tacky merch or the “did you know Céline did rock” posts are cringe, but this was fit for the occasion and one of their better efforts.

TC has been quite productive for the last couple of days. Quantity wise, they haven't posted this much since March 2020 I think. Quality of the posts is hit-and-miss as we all know, but I'm grateful for the HQ's at least. And the recipe was a nice touch actually. It felt personal even without Céline posting.

True, but doing nothing for you (I get it) and embarrassing is a little different from them losing the plot.

 

All things considered, I think they are improving and way better than they ever were---despite the overall cringe and mediocrity lol.

Why not. Celine loves to cook and bake and it's holiday time. In 1999. she was on her mother's cooking show.

It's early days.

Beta was gonna take over the world but never did.

We also have no idea how the new variant will fare in countries with high vaccination rates.

 

I've been searching for info on Omicron, but it's unclear how deadly it actually is (probably too early to tell).

 

Realistically, our only way out of this mess is a super infectious but much less deadly variant. So it can outcompete the more deadly variants like Delta.

I kinda agree with you, however, Taylor quite often posts about recipes and she is massive right now.
