JDM has a pretty lengthy 40-year retrospective today, on the anniversary of her first TV appearance.

Nothing new for most of us, I imagine, but still, interesting to see what they consider to top moments of her life & career.

(And lol, RC's EP makes it on the list :giggle: )

I loved the Law Roach + Celine era. It was so unexpected, and it was fun to see all the attention Celine received during that time.

Celine says in this video… "I have to say that you have brought me happiness through my clothing, so I want to thank you for that."

 

I think that says it all. Her rebirth as a fashion icon helped her so much during a very dark period in her life.

I've always thought a duet between Céline and Richard Marx would be great - he's still releasing great music that's contemporary, full of hooks and melody, and he writes and produces for lots of artists that people don't realize. Dance With My Father is probably the closest we'll get, but I can live in hope... :)

Exactly, and Sony gave the best answer! Picking one side is as bad as voicing your opinion on politics LOL...

No wonder Celine's social media is quiet these days. ;)

 

For those who don't understand French, the post says:

It’s kinda wild how many outlets have picked this up. (Too many to include all here.)

It's good publicity except for her Quebec fans who are mosty Habs fans. Some are really pissed Céline would support Vegas and call her a traitor! :lol:

I just realized today while listening to Céline's "Power Of The Dream" that among the vocal trinity only Céline can deliver a very difficult powerful smooth-resonance with vowel "i and e". This is the hardest vowel to sing with in belting.

Amazing the kind of traction this got from one dude’s tweet, especially given VGK have apparently been using the image for years (and apparently without Céline’s knowledge.)

This has gotten out of control! I wonder what Céline really thinks about this.

She should really show up to sing the national anthems and wear a split jersey - half Habs, half Knights. :giggle:
