Better than nothing? I'm just glad more people will see the performance. Oh, Team Celine. That performance needs to be uploaded on VEVO!

I know it's random, and wasn't really sure where to put this, hence I'm posting here. I'm sure it was discussed a couple of years ago but with the estimated construction time, it should have been done in February, just in the nick of time before Covid-19 hit full force here. Does anyone know if Celine really sold their original home in Henderson and moved to the Summerlin area? Not trying to invade her privacy and I don't need an exact location or anything. Just curious if she really did move.

 

If so, it would make sense she'd consider another residency when she's ready. Especially given what all the article says this house has. Otherwise I'd think she'd look to move on for good from Vegas.

What an embarrassment!! I was also watching Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi for the millionth time, and it occurred to me how many views that might gain if she posted an official video for it (with all the Netflix movie promo doing half the work for her)

... or they could just keep doing their thing: posting (or not posting) links to subpar fan videos. Nobody’s paying attention are they? :lol:

I wonder why Celine never did more harmonizing vocals in her career? If she did some harmonized melodies with her background singers it would be really interesting..

Not only did they just post a youtube link of a whitney fans upload of the beautiful oscar performance....but they did so even knowing the video was manipulated to avoid copyright. How cheappp. Team celine continues to wow...A simple picture would've been better

They should just get their act together and upload all of these performances to her YouTube channel. So many other artists' YouTube channels that are way better handled. It's basically free promotion and a perfect way to keep them relevant. It's such a shame that all these TV performances aren't uploaded in high quality to her official channel. The vault must be full of all kinds of live performances they could upload.

I wonder why Team Céline didn’t upload it on her YouTube Channel. They should upload all her Oscars performances since early 90’s

 

At the very least, they could have uploaded an audio video using the “My Love” album cover. Her team/Sony never cease to amaze me at the levels of ineptitude they’ll continue to reach towards.

Remember, everyone, her team may not have the rights to her appearances on the Grammy awards, the Oscar awards, etc. Whoever produced those would have the rights to anything form that show. Maybe Celine’s team has tried to get the right to post them to her channel and were denied. Maybe they didn’t even try. So many questions to which we have no answers but users on this form make statements like they know the answers.

I agree. I was simply addressing why they may not have all of these other performances on YouTube.

I would love to hear Celine try a true Broadway theater classic or two (not Memory)...so curious how she would do when you truly have to tell a story with how you sing a song...I got inspired after seeing Glenn Close sing some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's songs from Sunset Boulevard in 1998..but there are so many others, like Steven Sondheim's work..

 

Me too! She said she has no interest in musical theater but I think she just hasn’t had the chance to fall in love with Broadway since she’s been a workhorse since she was 12.

 

David Foster is chasing Broadway these days, so maybe she’ll get inspired by him and finally grow an appreciation for it.

Cats of course she knew, but the history goes so much deeper. Even Ariana Grande sang some Broadway stuff recently. But maybe I am not giving Celine enough credit, who knows what she knows lol.

Yes, but theatre music is very niche. Many many Americans are not even aware of the "classic theater songbook"... Could be that Celine doesn't like plays, yes. But some of the songs are so great and I would love to hear her take!
