She seemed in a bad mood when she was given and rejected that award for best Anglophone artist at the Felix Awards. She seems quite off-put when she has done interviews with Ellen Degeneres. She was angry about the lack of humanitarian response to Hurricane Katrina. She was angry a bit in her interview about Whitney Houton's death, and she also mentioned on Oprah and perhaps other places how she was angry about MJ's death because she saw how "top shape" he was in his final years.

 

I noticed she seems to be at her worst moods in impromptu, in-the-moment interviews...especially on red carpets. Sometimes when she has signed autographs, she's been very short as well, those videos are out there. Those videos are spread out too far and wide on Youtube to really collect, though.

There is some very weird algorithm//fake account bot phenomenon that has occurred around that video. And the same thing with the stupid "satanic" Celine NuNu controversy online. I am almost positive a ton of them are bot accounts...or they just live in a very, very strange bubble.

I just found out the lyrics to the “Partout je te vois” chorus are “dans le lit de ma main”. I always thought it says “dans le lit de Maman” which was super weird!

Those numbers are not correct. Just look at Falling Into You (58M??) and Let's Talk About Love (71.5M??). They have sold around 33 to 35M each.

And D'Eux at 20M? It's more like 7 or 8M. I wonder who put this list together...

Let’s Talk About Love definitely has sold around 35 million pure at this point, but they’re including streams, which with the huge streams of My Heart Will Go On would add around 2,000,000 units of SAS (Stream assisted sales) not including digital sales of My Heart Will Go On and post-90s purchases which have been unrecorded mostly. So I’d say Let’s Talk About Love could be pushing maybe 40 million AT MOST. With Falling Into You a little bit behind that. But those numbers are extremely inaccurate. D’eux I believe not including streams or digital sales etc. Is at around 10 million worldwide sales

I think the whole “fresh” vibe just wasn’t for me. I do get that it’s just my opinion though and I know that, at least on this forum, I’m likely in the minority. I agree with you. I pay very little attention to this era in terms of live performances and looks. However, I do think it all represents an interesting departure for Céline musically. Particularly, her French album 1F4T is the most refreshing part about this era.

 

In terms of her longterm touring repertoire and setlist, ANDHC it’s debatable whether is second in importance after FIY. But that’s just because she chooses to highlight certain songs on tour and not others.

I loved it. The way she looked (dresses and haircuts), the songs, the interviews, everything. It was like a rebirth for her. But she's reborn every once in a while. But maybe it was her second rebirth after the start of the nineties. And "I'm Alive" has become her signature song on par with MHWGO.
