AdrienneM Posted April 11, 2020 at 09:40 AM Posted April 11, 2020 at 09:40 AM I loved it. The way she looked (dresses and haircuts), the songs, the interviews, everything. It was like a rebirth for her. But she's reborn every once in a while. But maybe it was her second rebirth after the start of the nineties. And "I'm Alive" has become her signature song on par with MHWGO. I wouldn’t put Im Alive on par with MHWGO, the only English song we could argue comes close to MHWGO in terms of international success is maybe The Power Of Love or BYLM. Where as In French markets I’d actually argue PQTME is bigger than MHWGO 2
celinesounds Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:13 AM Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:13 AM (edited) This was the B-side of the 1987 French single "Je ne veux pas". Later redistributed by secondary labels thank you that song is better than most of her earlier stuff, and is a b-side she should sing the song in her french shows Edited April 11, 2020 at 10:18 AM by celinesounds #FREEJAVITO
ryba Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:36 AM Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:36 AM (edited) I have a major curiosity: what do people like so much about the ANDHC/OH era? To me it doesn’t even come close to the late 90s or the TC era. Her voice sounded tired and not well trained, her hairstyles and “relaxed” outfits were so unattractive and made her look older than she does now and the songs, although many were great, pale in comparison to the masterpieces on the LTAL and TC albums. I think the whole “fresh” vibe just wasn’t for me. I do get that it’s just my opinion though and I know that, at least on this forum, I’m likely in the minority. That’s why I’m asking for other fans’ opinions. I’m genuinely curious.for me definitely the best era of her entire career! still today ANDHC and OH are my favourite albums of her. The songs were light, young, inspiring and less heavy. Just feel good songs, not crying songs, It was just so refreshing and exciting. She came back, she was all around the media, she had an amazing energy and loved and enjoyed life so much, new stories, many great interviews, Oprah visited her in her home, lots of exclusive footage, Chrysler commercials, her own perfumes, perfume and new CD spots constantly on tv (even in Germany!), her songs were played on the radio daily, the new LV show, so much promo etc etc. I remember that OH and IDAN as well as ANDHC and IA were constanty played on the radio, even my local radio station. It was just a great era and I have lost of fond memories from those days It was everything a Celine fan could ever dream of. So many tv spots for new perfumes! celinesounds Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:36 AM Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:36 AM French Version of WOULD I KNOW 1 #FREEJAVITO
ryba Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:43 AM Posted April 11, 2020 at 10:43 AM French Version of WOULD I KNOW IMO much better than the English version Celine recorded. But the part after the bridge is still not quite right I think. Celines version definitely needed a rerecording until they would figure out in which direction the song should go and at what pace. It sounds like a typical demo.

Taking Chances Posted April 11, 2020 at 11:04 AM Posted April 11, 2020 at 11:04 AM No its not legit. So that's why it's not on powerofthemusic.com the song got leaked, we dont know how, but never officially released. This is a fanmade cd. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk Thank you. That's what I thought, but I just really wanted to know where the leak came from and if the song possible existed in lossless audio somewhere.

That's what I thought, but I just really wanted to know where the leak came from and if the song possible existed in lossless audio somewhere. I once read that the song leaked because it was sent to a musical or something for approval as the theme song (apparently it was not approved) and that was supposedly the source of the leak 1

Céline RO Posted April 12, 2020 at 06:07 PM Posted April 12, 2020 at 06:07 PM I’m pretty sure it’s an old pic. Just look at her arms, they’re much more muscular nowadays. Looks like 2017 to me. 6 The best is yet to come...
jpatdeleon09 Posted April 14, 2020 at 12:13 AM Posted April 14, 2020 at 12:13 AM (edited) Tech difficulties during Grammys This is why effects are important. So, producers/sound techs don’t dry céline’s mic anymore please. Edited April 14, 2020 at 12:14 AM by jpatdeleon09

Plus the dress is from 2015... so... Question: do y'all recall the alternate Gatica mixed ATW songs? Does anyone know how this was released? Was it part of the album sampler Epic released as a promo?
Chantemoi Posted April 14, 2020 at 06:48 AM Posted April 14, 2020 at 06:48 AM I thought her style was mostly really embarrassing. The most memorable exceptions were Divas Las Vegas and the Grammys... The music was overall more synthy and fun. I disagree that her voice sounded tired. To me, it sounded fresh and young. Way less contrived than LTAL, and her “experimental” sounds (Ten Days, Sorry for Love, Rain Tax, etc.) showed a playfulness missing from other records. Her appearances were funny, energetic, and full of future promise of the Vegas era. One Heart i just so pure, simple, upbeat, and easy to listen to. No heartbreak, no excessive drama (except JTE). 1F4T is probably my favourite album. « Tu nages » and ETJE still give me chills, and « Je lui dirai » is just delivered with such an unstoppable force. The album is short, sweet, perfect. First album I ever streamed online before its release. That’s crazy to think about in this day and age!! 3

ryba Posted April 14, 2020 at 07:46 PM Posted April 14, 2020 at 07:46 PM I wonder why they thought that a water park would be appropriate for performing a sad ballad lol moreover, why in this style? Were music videos not a thing back than? Or was this option cheaper?

DIdn't she say she also collapsed backstage after her New Day tribute show to her dad?

According to people close to her (her vocal coach, Jeff Smallwood, etc.) she cares even more about her voice nowadays so I definitely think she’s doing everything she can. 1 The best is yet to come...
