I was wondering if anybody can help me or point me in the right direction. I was reading an article about tour grosses and wondered, if the FIY and LTAL world tours are adjusted for inflation, how do they fair among the other big tours making over 200 mill

Well i dont believe there is any data for more than 3 or 4 shows for the FIY:ATW tour.... but for LTAL if we examine that only 69 dates have gross data with a total gross from those shows of 91.2 million dollars, thats $140,000,000 in todays value.

 

If we factor in the other 13 dates with an average gross of 1.2 million dollars per show for arenas. And 2.5 million dollars for stadium shows in asia (based off european data)... we can assume it wouldve grossed in total around $112,000,000 which in 2019 dollars is $170,000,000.

 

 

Not a gargantuan tour gross but if we consider $112,000,000 for a solo female act in the 90s its crazy

Well, there was that one time when it (reportedly) helped her diplomatically get out of performing at the Trump inauguration, so there are reasons to be thankful! :giggle:
