It doesn't take much effort to record and release one of those many songs she has already recorded since 2016 while she finishes the album! Everyone is releasing singles anticipatedly sometimes YEARS before the album is finished. Some even release up to 3 tracks from the album before the CD is finally out in the market. But Céline? Not even a snippet of what she's doing in the studio. Absolute silence. And in the meantime, hundreds of more Vegas clone shows, mini tours, clothing lines and fashion weeks. It's not like she doesn't have the time to release a new single right? She just does.not.care. (And her record label cares even less of course) Don't talk about disappointment... Talk about careless attitude. Edited March 2, 2019 at 10:21 AM by Javito 3 "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

This is just personal preference, but I'd prefer the album to come with as many surprises possible, not with half the songs already being heard by us because we weren't patient EDIT: I'd like to add that I 100% understand why you and so many of us are frustrated with her english music career right now. But we're all experts on waiting now, so lets just be optimistic for the next few months until we (fingers crossed) have a really great new Celine era Edited March 2, 2019 at 11:32 AM by Robrules3 2

ryba Posted March 2, 2019 at 11:50 AM Posted March 2, 2019 at 11:50 AM (edited) While she was doing her fashion extravaganza in Paris, she could have easily released the 2016 or 2017 tour on bluray or netflix and simultaneusly promote it, not just the nununu thing. There are so many options and opportunities, but she doesnt use any of them when it comes to her music. It’s just frustrating. And quite frankly, as a fan of Celine - the singer, I don’t care about instagram posts with pics of her with a weird hat on, Im sorry. Yes, it’s better than nothing and she can keep on enjoying herself fashionwise, but I want her to also tease us with music related content. Edited March 2, 2019 at 11:55 AM by ryba 3

Never on Celines watch. Celinenunu is new, something shes passionate about and wanted to promote whilst the pop up shop was going on. And if she was releasing either of those tours, she wouldnt go on a promo campaign And again, releasing 13 original albums, 4 (i think) compilations, a holiday album, 5 concert dvds/cds and all whilst world wide touring and doing vegas from 1990-2004. Shes 100% entitled to not be doing that anymore. Edited March 2, 2019 at 11:59 AM by Dion2000
Javito Posted March 2, 2019 at 11:56 AM Posted March 2, 2019 at 11:56 AM (edited) After all these years in Vegas, and until she proves me wrong, it became clear to me that: 1) Music is no longuer her main interest. 2) Creating new music is far from an interest of her now. 3) She's only focused in milking the cow of her old hits wth live performances. Period. Until she proves us wrong I stand by this opinion, and yes, is quite disappointing for an artist with such treasure voice to waste it like she's doing. The easiest and more convenient option for her is to perform invariably and ad nauseam the same bunch of hits until forever -which is actually and basically what she's been doing since 2013, and not producing anything new nor rehearsing any new songs. Vegas show with hundreds of opportunities to incorporate new songs of her catalogue became a totally wasted chance and a stagnant show, hard to see without feeling bored. The few ocassions she has released new songs -Encore un soir-, she does anything with it but promoting the new songs she just recorded (the dream of any singer out there). The promotion of EUS was a joke, only two songs out of 12 were performed on the scarce TV promo she did. Then zero videos. Then new tours with the same songs again. Then no home DVD releases, when all her buddies are releasing live CDs together with the matching DVD of the tour in the same package. Disappointing? That's an understatement. Javito Posted March 2, 2019 at 02:30 PM Posted March 2, 2019 at 02:30 PM (edited) It shocks me to the max how a fan can count collections of songs that have been previously released dozens of times before and count them as a new release in 2017 and 2018 Here's where it becomes obvious some fans have a very different concept of "new release" and "new music" lol To put it briefly, Un peu de nous and The Best So Far were such two jokes of releases, and a slap on the face to all those fans who were expecting a live CD/DVD and all they got is the original recordings from the songs (again) And the slap on the face was also among the general public, who was mislead and confused with these joke-releases thinking they were getting the live shows from the tours -just read the Amazon reviews for these compilations to know what I mean. Popular Post Dancing_Queen Posted March 2, 2019 at 04:27 PM Popular Post Posted March 2, 2019 at 04:27 PM You hate Vegas? The residency ends in June. Dislike some of the choices Cêline has made? You can't change the past. Dislike that that Céline has shifted her attention from music?Maybe she has. What are you gonna do about it? Either be happy with what you get or MOVE ON. It really is that simple. Listen, I think every critical opinion should be allowed on this forum. But maybe there should be some rule against the constant spamming of every thread with the same opinions? Or maybe the possibility to ban members from a certain thread (but not from the forum as a whole?) The constant negarivity is driving away all the people who enjoy and want to discuss the 'current' Céline... 12
Javito Posted March 2, 2019 at 05:19 PM Posted March 2, 2019 at 05:19 PM That’s the point! The lack of activity of the “current” Celine is what makes us discuss the good things done before and go back and compare all the time It’s not my fault that she’s taking the longest gap to release new music. Because I’m here for the music first and foremost (like 99% of fans). I can’t be forced to like the “current Celine” of Nununu and fashion shows and catwalks and whatnot! 2 "Hush, now... We have absolutely NO RIGHT to complain about releases as a fanbase#2003 you forgot 1fille et 4 types...I think the main problem/reason, why some fans here getting angry about the situation with new english music is, that I believe it´s the first album which takes that long since it´s first mention (that was in 2015 I believe), so it´s been four years. Yes we got new english songs (hymn, recovering, HDAMLF; ashes...), but none of them were associated with the new english album, which is supposed to be in the works since four years. So I can understand the frustration, can´t speak otherwise about myself sadly. But we should always remember certain things:1. it´s her first album overall, which she decides the whole process2. she has to deal with the loss of rene, the responsability of her career and future (as an artist)3. she wasn´t lazy! 3 tours, multiple vegas shows, new french album, english songs... Overall, maybe it wasn´t the smartest move and the best way to handle it, while mentioning the new album, before it can be said, on wich date it will be released. Otherwise actually this was the case, so they planned to release the english album in 2017 I believe...and we simply don´t know if or what was/is the reason to delay the album release on and on...but it was certainly not on celine´s side, to wait with the release that long. So hopefully it will be released finally this yearn and I´m sure it will be worth the long wait. and for the next album, maybe they should try to mention it only, when the release date (maybe also only year) is so certain as it can be, if this is possible in a way just my two cents 1

Because I'm here for the music first and foremost (like 99% of fans). I can't be forced to like the "current Celine" of Nununu and fashion shows and catwalks and whatnot! "Current" Céline is still doing Vegas.I like Vegas and I know I'm not alone (I relish the opportunity to see her in such an intimate setting, to be so close to her). And I love the happiness she's bringing to the fashion world.I adore the motherly empathy that inspired her Célinununu idea. So I'm here for "Céline the person" and "Céline the entertainer".If it were just about the music, I probably wouldn't be here anyway.I can tolerate about 50% of her English catalogue (so not overly excited about the new album lol) and I usually prefer new covers over some cringy deep cut like LIAWN. That's only to say that we all like different things and different aspects of Céline. And if there's things we don't like, that's perfectly ok and we have every right to say so.But maybe just say it once? Twice? Once a month maybe? You know I could also make a daily posting to the ANDHC thread about how tacky I find 'Super Love', 'Sorry for love', 'WTWOLYR'...I'll do it, you know Javito, don't tempt me! 9

Taking Chances Posted March 4, 2019 at 01:34 PM Posted March 4, 2019 at 01:34 PM 2017 - Un Peu De Nous 2018 - The Best So Far : 2018 tour edition These are just bs releases though, lets be honest. The only thing of value was the instrumental versions on Un Peu De Nous. Otherwise it's just a compilation of old songs. A live album from one of the mini tours would have been the perfect thing to release in my opinion. At least while waiting for the new English album. 2
