I was just thinking yesterday - before the news of Michel Legrand's passing, strangely - how great it would be if the Oscars did a tribute to him like they did that time Celine sang for Ennio Morricone.

But alas, those days at the Oscars are over, it seems. Now they won't even let 3/5 nominated songs get performed!

So, much as I think it would be so perfect for Celine to take part in a tribute segment for him, I just don't think it'll happen. All he'll get is a card in the RIP segment - if they even still televise that! Shame. :down:

And speaking of Michel Legrand, I'm pretty ready for a remake of Yentl! (Though, truth be told, doubt anybody can hold a candle to Streisand... Still, I wouldn't mind it redone for the new generation. I mean, they just did it very successfully with A Star is Born.)

She may not be nominated for anything, but I have an inkling she might show up at an award show or two this season.

Judging by this past week, it seems the promo machine is gearing up for whatever she does next - be that an album or a post-Vegas tour.

I sent in three Celine related suggestions to Netflix. If you have an account send in suggestions for them to upload Celine content, that way they'll see there's interest in her.

I love Conor!

This made me smile when I read about it earlier today. Something tells me we'll get more Celine name-dropping in other people's art in years to come. And that can only be a good thing. (I mean, Tunde Olaniran wrote a whole song about her!)

Also, NetflixCA even commented on Celine's latest IG picture. This is getting strange. Either something is up or the person handling the NetflixCA accounts is a huge Celine stan.

NetflixCA comments on pretty much every picture she posts these days... And for her birthday post last year they messed up the accent on her name, so I doubt it's a stan! :hmm:

That's truly disturbing. I'm seriously worried about her and I would be as well if I were her parents. Get her some real help.

 

This is way more than being a normal fan, this is obsessiveness.

 

And reading this crazy interview, I can see it uses the same wording as Tricey uses and no paper, magazine or respectable source would ever use.
