Love to all those affected by the Quebec City shooting tonight. Barbaric act carried out by cowards.

That is so sad. My sister and my boyfriend are studying at Laval's University and they are living on the the street the shooting happened. It's so tragic. Étant Québécois, j'offre mes sympaties aux familles des victimes. God bless them all.

Super random... I just love how at the beginning of this video she asks Zhane, "Do you know where my brushes are?" and Zhane responds, "Nooooo" like an annoyed teenager. THAT is how you know Céline isn't a diva, her hair stylist can respond like an annoyed teenager to her and she still has a job. (For the record, this isn't a dig at Zhane - I think she's awesome! I just love this little interaction and think it's cute and funny.)

I love how the article threw in Love By Another Name as an example of a Foster song! That cracked me up. It's one of his worst songs, and one that 99.9% of people reading the article won't know. Don't think I've ever seen anyone write about it before.

I went to Lea Michele's (she was the main character, Rachel, on Glee) concert last night and she mentioned Celine a few times!!

She's a huuuuge Barbra and Celine stan, they're her two favorites.

 

First, she talked about how Ryan Murphy (the producer of the show) let her pick a few songs only a handful of ties and the first time, she picked "Taking Chances". (I remember another time she said she always begged him to let her do Tell Him but she never got to do it).

I believe the performance of Taking Chances was in the first episode. But she talked about how it's one of her favorite songs of all time and that she was really excited, only to be mad when she saw the episode that it was only in it for a few seconds haha

 

Secondly, the concert was her mainly premiering new songs for her new album coming out soon, and before one particular song she said that it was very inspired by Celine. She said she reminisced about about how she used to sing Celine songs so loud in the car that it drove her mom crazy. The song was a really nice ballad.

 

Anyway I thought it was cute how she was geeking out about Celine haha (also her voice is AMAZING)

I don't know if it's really the case, but I have the feeling that when Sia wrote Loved me back to Lfe, she took inspiration in that song... around 3:00, I can hear LMBTL in my head. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

I tweeted the video of Celine upset on Larry King during Hurricane Katrina and it's gone viral on twitter a little bit. Celine stuff doesn't usually spread very far on twitter so I was pretty excited haha. Lots of people had never seen this and are quoting it and saying wonderful things about her :) I always felt this moment was under appreciated. https://twitter.com/...509100449021952

Someone posted it again, and it's catching on, again.

 

And is getting universal love, again. Interesting how she was so ridiculed for this at the time, and now it's getting a wall-to-wall positive response.

I was listening to random JJG on youtube today and came across "Encore Un Matin"... just found it interesting that he wrote a song called One More Morning back in the 80s and now he wrote "Encore Un Soir," One More Evening for Celine. While the songs are definitely different I see some of the same themes present.

It doesn't literally mean she was pregnant, it just alluded that she felt pregnant when recording and hitting the big note! :)
