MTJ Posted April 2, 2010 at 05:34 PM Posted April 2, 2010 at 05:34 PM Yeah, couchmar is nightmare. As for the french section, if you speak french you can read the comments in the topic saying "I hope this is a joke, but I'm not laughing." Saying that all French people are nasty sounds just as mean as making a cruel joke. Also, saying that it must be a guy, because a girl could never do that also sounds very mean and misinformed.

volleyceline Posted April 2, 2010 at 06:15 PM Posted April 2, 2010 at 06:15 PM The pin-pon nervous an ambulance. An all-white ceiling, and at its center, a funny plaster rosette. Two windows masked by heavy red curtains. A mahogany cabinet with a large mirror. I suddenly realized that I'm in a hotel room in Paris .... In Paris! I rise with a bound. I put aside the curtains. The sky is gray. It must be very cold. My God, what time is it? I dare not wake my mother, who sleeps in the next room. I'm looking at night. I dig in my bag. Nothing. Ah I remember I left it in the bathroom. Jacqui Posted April 2, 2010 at 09:16 PM Posted April 2, 2010 at 09:16 PM I agree with you Claudette, and I don't think you have anything to apologize for. I read the French section for practice, and a lot, though not all of them, can be quite negative sometimes. I don't know how much of it is a cultural thing and how much is individuals, but this April Fools thing was too much. It was cruel and just not appropriate.
volleyceline Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:08 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:08 AM I started liking her a couple of years ago, all because of iHop! I heard one of her songs in the background music, and have loved her ever since! http://fotos.fotoflexer.com/33a2e2da594db4153c226a19ede91edb.jpghttp://fotos.fotoflexer.com/e6aaaff4173e83688975f83ef4c440ea.jpghttp://fotos.fotoflexer.com/7dcd605675e4621374fb2ab0c990b231.jpghttp://fotos.fotoflexer.com/6f81b75908662ef33cd2ed5d0a6c8208.jpg Some people have everything. Nmj Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:13 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:13 AM (edited) I started listening to Celine when i was 7, the first song i heard was "Its all Coming Back to me now" and i was still kinda young i heard the intro to the song, and i was kinda scared of it. it was really dramatic and kinda halloween"scary" to me... then i heard the first words..."There were nights when the wind was so cold." I heard the voice of the angel, so pure i thought! So shortly after i bought "Falling into you" and the rest was history, each year i love her more!-Nmj Edited April 3, 2010 at 03:40 AM by Nmj
volleyceline Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:15 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:15 AM I've loved her since I heard the song 'Because you loved me' It was weird though, because once in a while it would come on the radio, and my mom would turn up the volume, but i thought it was a boring song, then again that was when I was only 5 or 6. Then when I was about 8, I really listened to the lyrics, and the power of her voice, and I've loved her ever since! http://fotos.fotoflexer.com/33a2e2da594db4153c226a19ede91edb.jpghttp://fotos.fotoflexer.com/e6aaaff4173e83688975f83ef4c440ea.jpghttp://fotos.fotoflexer.com/7dcd605675e4621374fb2ab0c990b231.jpghttp://fotos.fotoflexer.com/6f81b75908662ef33cd2ed5d0a6c8208.jpg Some people have everything. minolli Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:33 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:33 AM I was 12 years old, and Falling Into You had just been released. My friend brought FIY over to my house and played it for me. I'd never heard of Celine before that, but I loved the CD immediately and bought it the next day. Since I was only 12 and pretty much only had babysitting money, it was like a big investment for me, but I'm so glad that I got it because I've been a Celine fan ever since that day! I still remember being in sixth grade and humming IACBTMN to myself while I was in class! http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lsg43qJH1b1qa4phqo1_400.jpg
Celinechick Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:36 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:36 AM I was about nine when I started wondering who Celine was, because I thought she had a beautiful voice. I just started getting into her this summer when I heard one of her songs on the radio. I'm twelve now, and have 8 of her CD's. Celine is my life, I eat, sleep, and breath her. I love Celine! Matias Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:46 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:46 AM Ok, a confesion...don't kill me over this, but the first time i've heard BYLM I thought it was Mariah.....Hahhhhh!!! http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maic6m257V1rbfceqo2_250.gif"No no, put it back..."
Nmj Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:48 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 03:48 AM haha i think Celine does do a lot of Mariahish notes in BYLM
Raevaz Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:00 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:00 AM I discovered her music in August 2007, so I was 10 because my 11th birthday was in November.. I'm now 13 It has only been 3 years but it seems so much longer!!
Nmj Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:02 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:02 AM This is so great, we have so many YOUNG Celine fans
Tyler1991 Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:04 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:04 AM Not at all!!! Mariah has a much more defined lower register....while most of her upper chest notes (around F5 ish) are in single words that last a second...rather than belting out a word for 10 seconds straight like Celine (although Celine usually doesn't hold that 10 seconds at an F5 either)..... and of course Mariah does whistle, which we have no record of Celine doing....and all of Mariah's head notes sound the same and are boring...not to mention she doesn't have a whole lot of regular head notes....which makes sense....why do an A5 (head) when you can do an A6 (whistle)?? Most head notes are placed in a song where a whistle could be too... Anyway, I started liking Celine when I was 16. :)It was 2 years ago this month.
Nmj Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:10 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:10 AM (edited) I'd like to stay on topic but i just got to clear up that i think in BYLM Celine does kinda have a Mariah early90s sound it her voice...Celine can do so many sounds with her voice its crazy, Like for me i feel a lot of Mariah-ish notes in "Because you loved me, In "tell him" she sounds like Barbara in "Why or Why" she sounds like Toni Braxton and in "Fade Away" she sounds like Kelly Clarkson are just a few of my examples, but hey thats just my opinion...But what do i know?-Nmj Edited April 3, 2010 at 04:14 AM by Nmj
I Love You Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:12 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:12 AM I started liking Celine back in '96, after that I was hocked on the voice.
nati Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:14 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:14 AM I was between 6 and eight years old Thanks Celine for the great memories. I will never forget you
carmGel55 Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:15 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:15 AM i was in my elementary grade 2 level when i first watched and heard the song BATB and i was spellbounded to hear a voice like an angel. i was 7 that time and now im turning 20!! god, its already 13 yrs!!! and hey, my lucky number is 13!!!!! since then i loved the voice i heard without knowing who the hell the singer is. all i just say when someone ask me who is my fave singer, i just answered "the singer of BATB" and the rest was history.
MarinaK Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:56 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 04:56 AM it all started with the titanic movie..haha. I was 7 years old, and my mom took me to see titanic...and of course i fell in love with leonardo dicaprio..haha..but also with celine! at the end of the movie, we heard My Heart Will Go On, nd we wanted to know who sang it, so we looked for the soundtrack and saw "celine dion"...so we looked up her at the music store, and bought the album "lets talk about love" that was also just released...and so the rest is history..haha.I'm going to be 21, so its been 14 years that i've followed celine and i love her more and more !!! On the "lets talk about love" tour, she was in buffalo on my b-day but i was too young to even know how to get tickets..haha. If she is ever performing in vegas on September 20th, i am soooooo going! haha.
ladylindsey Posted April 3, 2010 at 05:06 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 05:06 AM (edited) I think I've told my story like 746872364 times lol, but I love telling it and I love hearing other stories! I was 7 yrs old and it was.....1990-91ish. edit*- wow, look how many of us were 7ish years old when we found Celine! cute! Edited April 3, 2010 at 05:08 AM by ladylindsey
I Love You Posted April 3, 2010 at 05:48 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 05:48 AM That is truly a sick joke, to pull like that. I don't think that is funny at all, down right nasty if you ask me. Seriously a woman, would not right something like that at all. That is just down right sick, if you ask me.
reamary Posted April 3, 2010 at 06:05 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 06:05 AM (edited) I think I've told my story like 746872364 times lol, but I love telling it and I love hearing other stories! I think I've told my story a plenty of times as well, but I too love telling it over and over again! So I was 13, it started with My Heart Will Go On with me.. There was some coincidence in the story too. After seeing Titanic I wanted to buy the soundtrack of the film. But then, when I had the money gathered, everyone was buying (or had already bought) the soundtrack, and I didn't want to be like "everybody", so I decided I'd buy Céline's Let's Talk About Love instead, cause it also had MHWGO and I had heard a couple of other songs from it too and thought they were good. So that's how it started!! I can't believe it's been 12 years now.. I remember when it had been 10 years in the year she started the latest world tour, and now it's been 2 more years since that?!! Wow, time flies... dorfus Posted April 3, 2010 at 07:24 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 07:24 AM Oh man, it was October 1996 and you could still watch BFBS (the British Forces' worldwide TV station) in Cyprus, if you lived outside the base camps. I was nine years old at the time. BFBS were showing Top of the Pops, and I was completely mesmerised by a woman singing, running around in an enormous house, and falling to the floor when the wind blew open the doors... That's right, it was the video for It's All Coming Back To Me Now. The second time they showed it, a week later, I literally hushed my parents and older brother - they were too busy talking than paying attention to CELINE DION. My Dad went out and bought me Falling Into You the next day, and since then, well let's just say my obsession never died down 6 May 2008 - London, England / 15 May 2019 - Las Vegas, USA / 3 June 2023 - Nicosia, Cyprus
Timster Posted April 3, 2010 at 08:05 AM Posted April 3, 2010 at 08:05 AM I was 12 or 13 when I heard You and I on the Air Canada commercials. I just fell in love with the song and her voice and I've been a huge fan ever since!!
smash Posted April 3, 2010 at 10:36 PM Posted April 3, 2010 at 10:36 PM Oh please people, I'm not apologizing again for writing that. Plus, don't put words in my mouth. I did not say all French people are nasty. I said that the people in the French section can sometimes be nasty. I have my reasons for writing that: there are certain people in the French section that never have anything nice to say and are always complaining about everything... If there is someone that should apologize here, it is the person starting that sick joke in the first place. Oh my word. How cruel and unkind can someone be to start something like this. Celine mentioned in the one interview, how she has cried a river of tears fornot being able to fall pregnant. Now this. Celine has never harmed anyone, she is so decent, she does not deserve this. Wonder what the 10 year thing is on the magazine.Hope my girl is ok. Hope we hear soon, whatever the news is. Dont want her to be hurt.
