Well it's still amazing, but more raw and raspy sounding than the final version. On the DVD her voice soars to the heavens on those notes, it's mindblowing.

Yeah, you are right. This is interesting, because when I watched all the bootlegs all the high notes sounded the same... well, very similar to the DVD but with slightly less of a growl. Now on this "real" version...this is much closer to the other performances....still a growl, but not as extreme as DVD...I know the ending note and hums were on a track, not 100% sure one way or another on the high notes.

 

Just listening to it, it sure sounds like it. But then, if that is the case....why would a whole new playback be recorded just for the verses and chorus before this (which are very easy)?

 

I hope to find a performance that is quite a bit different then this, thus making it very obvious it's live.

The high notes from the LTAL tour are definitely live. Columbus and Providence are different sounding high notes if you wanted to hear something a bit different. The "forever" note is almost split in half with the first part being really shrill and high pitched. Milwaukee is quite a good one cos the "nothing" note is really strong but also really smooth, I always enjoyed that performance.

I think Vic said he is posting it soon. I sent the video to him a while ago and he encoded it for the forum, it's a really good show actually, the quality is pretty good.

I've been listening to Célines old french albums.

Have you noticed how much she scrolls the "r's" when she sang in the french albums before D'eux?

 

Does anyone know why she stopped doing that?

I think it was Jean-Jacques Goldman. If i remember right it was the only thing he didn't like when listening to Celine's earlier french songs. So he got her to tone that rolling her 'r's down a bit. Well, quite a lot really. :giggle:

Yes a lot! I like her singing more without the scrolling :) even though it is kinda cute.

I have a voice record function on my phone and I just play the song on the computer and hold the phone to the speaker and record it that way. I have the Omaha ring.

I guess the omaha song exists on youtube? Go here and download the software (It's free and easy...i use it myself)

I woke up this morning and saw David Foster on TV! It was muted and I was like hey that looks like Foster...sure enough it was..... They showed 30 seconds of The Prayer from TJTWIM special and mentioned he discovered Celine at a picnic. And they just showed him hugging Celine after the BYLM performance. :D

A few new hotels and a brand new Cirque Du Soleil Show open in Vegas next month....

The new show ''Viva Elvis'' opens on Decemeber 18th @ ARIA Resort & Casino.

 

This hotel and a new group of hotels in the same area, are on the strip positioned between The Bellagio and The Monte Carlo, and looks amazing!!!!

 

Being Elvis fans, in particular Rene being a huge fan, I think we can expect to see Celine and Rene at the this on the first week possibly even the premier, as its Cirque du Soleil, Vegas and Elvis.

And lets face it, is there a show in Vegas they aint seen recently? lol

 

Like; O, KA, LOVE, The Blue Man Group, Kris Angel, Elton, Bette Midler, Cher etc etc.

 

We shall wait and see :)

 

Edit: And we may get our first glimpse of ''the bump'' :P

Yeah they have been building these since 2006, there are four or five hotels/casinos in this one plot...

If I dont stay at The Bellagio next year, I'm definatley stay here :)

ohh you are going to Las Vegas next year?? lucky ! Well I am if she will be back to do a show (doubt that will happen)

 

I would like to stay at Caesars Palace but it's a little expensive. I stayed at Plaza and Imperial Palace before.

 

Céline should just have her own hotel for fans and her show there, would love that, even though it wouldn't be a good investment, I would still love it

Sometimes when the mood strikes us, we ask some of our favorite celebrities to list off five things we'd be surprised to know about them. So when I spoke to Dane Cook yesterday, he seemed like the perfect candidate for that line of questioning. He was pretty down with sharing five random facts about himself.

 

For instance, he's "very shy." Additionally, he's "an excellent cook." Lets' also not forget this fact: "I love to iron. I iron all my own clothes. I don't like wrinkly stuff."

 

Oh yeah, he also really loves Celine Dion. Without any irony, either. "I listen to Celine Dion sometimes," he shared. "No [i'm not kidding]. There's a couple songs that Jim Steinman wrote that she sings incredibly." But it's this last fact that got me in on the joke. Cook told me he likes to scare people, and I got to learn that first-hand when he scared me right there in the middle of our interview.

 

"I'm obsessed with scaring people. It's really like I had to do that [and scare you right there]. I had to do it. I would hide in a closet and scare total strangers for a living. If I could get paid doing it, I would quit everything and just hide in peoples closets and scare them and be like 'Where's my check?'" he said. "I've scared pilots on planes. I had a girl break up with me because I scared her too much."

 

 

Anyone know what songs he is refering to? I don't know Celine's songs by who wrote them. I think Dane is joking about listening to Celine though. I assume the line after the bold that I have underlined is saying its a joke about him listening to Celine :doh:

 

 

Off the top of my head, the only Jim Steinman song I can think of is IACBTMN.

 

Two other songs were produced by him : Call The Man and River Deep, Mountain High
