''My Story My Dream'' is truly a beautiful book. It is definitely one of my favourite books of all time, and I'm not just saying it because its Celine. The whole story of her life and the way her career started sounds like it comes from a movie... a true Cindarella story... And like you said: it definitely makes you appreciate her even more.

 

Now I just wish they would translate the Denise Bombardier book...

 

 

I agree with you. I loved "My Story My Dream" I think I'm going to read it again. Her life really does sound like a fairy tale but she worked her a$$ off to get to where she is today. I ♥ her. I wish they would tranlate Denise's book as well. Just hoping and praying...that's all you can do.

a lot of friends. I have one close friend in Florida, Robin. We grew up together - with lots of love and little money. We were poor, but we thought we had everything. We had everything we needed, and I try to pass these values on to my son. Yes, I spoil him sometimes, but it is not what I buy; it is how I raise him.

 

We always have...

 

limousines, chauffeurs and private planes. When I enter a room, I don't have to ask for a glass of orange juice - it is already standing there. You get spoiled; you get use to it. But I think my parents raised us the right way.

 

My favourite place on earth is...

 

my house. If you think about it, coffee always tastes better at home! I can go where I want, so obviously I would rather be at home, in my pajamas. We play, we swim, we ride bikes.

 

I love myself just the way I am because...

 

think how my child will feel if I tell him: ''You are the most beautiful thing on earth and you look just like me'' but I changed everything on myself. I've accepted I am who I am. I love my family, and I am the product of my past, my blood. I'm not here to be pretty or to have a 36 breast size. I am like I am, and I have a lot to be thankful for.

 

We are happy but...

 

my husband's cancer changed our lifes drastically. But at the moment he is clean, so we have that to be thankful for. We live one day at a time.

so I'm watching my tape of the 'Celine Dion boxset' That VH1 aired back in 02 maybe 03 and I'm wondering WHY don't they do this AGAIN! The showed Diary Of Celine Dion, the ANDHC come back concert and something else I think, I can't remember what else was shown if anything else because part of the tape has been recorded over. But I remember this 'boxset' lasted like all day pretty much so I know something else had to have been shown.

 

To bad they wouldn't do something like this after she comes back after having the new baby, like show Sur Les Plaines, maybe the TC tour if they ever release it and maybe the one show I think that was shown in Canada the 'This is Celine Dion.'

 

Ah one of the other things they showed was Celine Dion;Driven it was another vh1 show they did on her. Like a biography type thing.

I read My Story My Dream yesterday for the first time. OMG.

 

I love her more than ever! That woman GOT her man uhhhhhhuhhhhhh. She cracked me up chasing Rene. That's an amazing book, can't believe I haven't read it til now It really makes you appreciate everything about her story, her beginnings, her tireless traveling, her periods of silence and how she trained her voice for so long not knowing if it would help, and the story of Rene and her....ahhhh. It really makes me feel like I have led an unproductive life haha. What an amazing journey. I loved it. I could hear her little accent telling the story as I read, too cute.

 

Now on to For Keeps.

I was a bit shocked when I read MSMD for the first time and read how she basically forced herself on Rene and it was almost like she gave him an ultimatium and said either love me or else lol She really really pursued him till she got him in every way possible.

LOL! Funny. I actually think it's awesome that she has that attitude, though. Too many people don't, famous and non-famous. People tend to underestimate how much a Mother's attitude can affect a child's self esteem... particularly if it's a daughter. I think Celine would be a great Mother for a girl. she was emotional beacause I think it had been a looooooong time since she had been in France and also...after RC was born she turned super emotional and cried a lot!! also i think they were singing CNQR which of course is a really special song for her

Thanks! I thought it had something to do with the fact that it had been a long time since she was in France. It is definitely easier to understand a bit of French when you can actually see the words in front of you... but understanding and following someone while they are speaking is another thing...

I'm not sure. I know it was performed in 2008 (I think?) with Alone and one other song...and that wasn't it. So it was performed another time too...

Yes, it was the episode where she had that cute little white dress on. I see now it was 2008. But she was on the same Star Academy earlier in the season (end of 2007) also, but I don't think she sang DUAM on that episode. So I'm not sure which one you are talking about then.

Dane Cook Likes Scaring People

Sometimes when the mood strikes us, we ask some of our favorite celebrities to list off five things we'd be surprised to know about them. So when I spoke to Dane Cook yesterday, he seemed like the perfect candidate for that line of questioning. He was pretty down with sharing five random facts about himself.

 

For instance, he's "very shy." Additionally, he's "an excellent cook." Lets' also not forget this fact: "I love to iron. I iron all my own clothes. I don't like wrinkly stuff."

 

Oh yeah, he also really loves Celine Dion. Without any irony, either. "I listen to Celine Dion sometimes," he shared. "No [i'm not kidding]. There's a couple songs that Jim Steinman wrote that she sings incredibly." But it's this last fact that got me in on the joke. Cook told me he likes to scare people, and I got to learn that first-hand when he scared me right there in the middle of our interview.

 

"I'm obsessed with scaring people. It's really like I had to do that [and scare you right there]. I had to do it. I would hide in a closet and scare total strangers for a living. If I could get paid doing it, I would quit everything and just hide in peoples closets and scare them and be like 'Where's my check?'" he said. "I've scared pilots on planes. I had a girl break up with me because I scared her too much."

 

 

Anyone know what songs he is refering to? I don't know Celine's songs by who wrote them. I think Dane is joking about listening to Celine though. I assume the line after the bold that I have underlined is saying its a joke about him listening to Celine

I kept on searching him through the internet, but the only thing I found out was that he was nicknamed 'cycle boy' in London. Any of you guys from London know what his name is? Thnx for ur help!

I think Cycle Boy is the nickname of the video's director, Nigel Dick (he travels by bicycle and has made cycle tours in 14 countries, so it would make sense if that were his nickname). Even if you look at his official website, www.nigeldick.com, you can't find the actor's name, just crew details. It's quite hard to find CAST and crew details for almost any music video. I know this hasn't been much help, but at least I tried! Lol
