Yes, I don't know why Sony is so lazy and ignorant, when it comes to Celine. They didn't release the LIM DVD and we had the FIY anniversary two years ago. And where are the DVD and Docu from the Mini-Tours 2016-2018? etc... What are they waiting for?

Streaming numbers have seen low as usual during weekend. It's always exciting when songs reach significant milestones in terms of streams. The song "Because You Loved Me" is set to hit 360 million streams on Spotify, which shows a lot of people are enjoying it. Similarly, the smash hit "My Heart Will Go On" is expected to reach an impressive 480 million streams within just two days.

There's a lot of people out there who are more willing to go see Celine in concert than stream her music.

 

I have friends who loved her back in the 90s but don't really go out of their way to listen to her now. However, they'd still love to see her live. It's interesting… and it makes sense why Celine's focused so much on live performance over the past couple of decades - because that's where she's remained sought-after. People know seeing Celine Dion is a bucket list moment and she puts on a spectacular show.

 

Even my mom and sister, who adored Celine back in the day, don't listen to her anymore unless her songs play on satellite radio. I think a lot of people fall under this umbrella.

 

But I'm hopeful there will be a resurgence in Celine's music. We've seen it with It's All Coming Back To Me Now. And we probably would've had a few more moments like that if Celine were well enough to be out in the world. I bet Beauty and the Beast, for instance, would've had a comeback moment if Celine herself could've participated in the BATB 30th anniversary TV special.

 

Maybe the documentary will help a music comeback happen.

Yeah my family is the same, they loved her in the 90's but nearly forgot about her until I discovered her in 2013 through lmbtl album. They only know that she's still releasing albums because of me because they didn't followed her after the 90's.

On a positive note, the rest of the tracks are experiencing an increase in streams.

 

On other updates I DROVE ALL NIGHT is going to hit 50 million streams in the next 2 days.

Everything is poor with these streams. Daily updates to such bad reviews are so disheartening to see, cause it's weird that now that Celine is less active on social media and all, her stream numbers have gone low, even for songs like My Heart Will Go On. The only thing that makes sense is that the vinyls etc that have been released simply haven’t sold that well therefore they don’t release any more.

 

However, for someone who has sold the amount of records Celine has for Sony it’s shameful they don’t release things “just because.”

 

Remember Javito once said he believed there was someone inside Sony trying to sabotage Celine….

I saw this post on a Cher's fanclub saying she has partnered with Iconic Artist Group to share her music with new generation

It also says that they plan to license her hits for film and TV aiming to curate her empowering story.

 

 

This is such a great idea to stay relevant. It's weird that Celine wants to stay relevant but her team doesn't make efforts and instead they go for cringe Instagram posts and quizzes.

 

Her fashion era was something that people really liked, but alas it got overpowered by her weight talks and that Celinenunu she did.

Celine was never strong on Spotify, but now is really worrying. I think she is still strong on YouTube, but her team does nothing to improve her streaming numbers. It was ok when she was fully committed to touring and that kept her relevant. Now is a totally different scenario. We don't know when/if she will be able to tour again, so a new strategy is needed.
