She changed her style very early, in 1998, and managed to stay on pop charts until at least 2010 (with some misses there, of course), while Celine maintained herself in the adult contemporary land. She had several virals in TikTok era and, unlike Celine’s team, she really took advantage of it. She has been featuring with younger artists. Spotify hits harder on Latin America than does in Asia, which gives Mariah a leverage. And the Christmas thing really help. Those algorithms in Spotify are build to always give more of what you’re already listening. With all those people channeling her song, the algorithm will offer more songs of her. 3 Quote
