I really hope her record label takes advantage of what this opportunity is created and has created so far. This is the closest to mainstream today Celine will ever come, again. Her song is almost at 20 million views on Youtube and she was able to capture the attention of the public again; with a song that fits her repertoire. Reviews of the movie ; which has been shown early to some critics is extremely positive. Calling it better than the first and with surprising 'heart'---which is where Celine comes in I'm sure.

 

All she needs to do now is a performance of the song live after the movie debuts (Cue: Billboard Music Awards In Las Vegas--hello? If she misses this opportunity where she does not even need to travel she's crazy) and maybe another 1 or 2 appearances it would keep the song riding throughout the early part of the summer.

 

Celine has been recording her album back in the fall. Surely it's done by now.

 

If I were her and her team, I would capitalize on this moment now for the lead in single.

Just for my info., you are talking about a Human being or a machine?...What about if she really just enjoys what she does at her rythm, with no pressure...

 

I understand that as a fan, some project themselves on her (her work, attitude, etc...) and obviously it happens to me...but this has to be for just a little moment, and then back to reality...We are talking about a person who has been for almost 40 years one of the most (or maybe some say the most) working person on showbiz...

 

I think, we just have to enjoy what she offers to us...And give her a break!

This could become a HUGE part of her legacy. As I said this is an easy song for her to perform. Who cares what side detractors say about her Vegas voice, even if she has to rest so be it. She has already done a million Vegas shows. Nobody is expecting her to be spot on every single night.

I don’t think anyone can really criticise Celine for not doing any promo right now. We don’t actually know what she’s doing work wise at the moment. Let alone how she is health wise. I would be worse for her if she did something but it backfire, and then ends up cancelling Vegas shows. Then even more pressure will be on her shoulders with the tour after. Wish we knew what was happening right now, just a little indication. 😕

My heart will go on was released 6 weeks before Titanic and had a slow start. But when the movie dropped it was like throwing gasoline on a fire. It exploded the song and was all over radio. That was the most beautiful coming together of a movie and song in history, and unfortunately for Ashes and Deadpool, whilst there will be an impact on the song for sure (depending on how they weave it in), but it's like chasing the first high and I don't think this will replicate to the levels we in our hearts want it to.

I do not agree with "people were interested in just Deadpool"... but I agree that probably the majority of views (of course, the majority can be, for example, 51%) come from Deadpool fans. But is this really so surprising? After all, that's why we enjoy it. Because of that, many new people SAW her, people who literally and figuratively live in a completely different world, and otherwise probably they would never hear about her. The more such people the better.

 

And if people watch such a video only for the Deadpool itself, then each video in which he appears should have a similar number of views. But it's not like that, so the content must make a difference.

 

So, as for Deadpool fans themselves, it's rether normal that they are more interested in the video material presenting from the beginning to the end a lot of cool jokes from Deadpool, than some music video where the main content is of course the music (even if this music is good) with some jokes only as an addition.

Deadpool is for Celine an amazing free promotion. Millions of young boys and girls with less than 18 years are discovering her music. Also many that know her from Titanic soundtrack only are rediscovering Celine.

The song Ashes is beautiful, the production is great, Celine's voice is at her best and there is finally a music video. Now, the song needs to play on the radios and it's time to release the new English album. 😉

No actually , hers was released a little after... like 2 days after maybe? (not that it's better lol ). .. the only one of note that was same day was christina aguilera.

 

Side note -We're complaining waaaay too much about promotion and other things. first of all it has been maybe a week and 2 or three days... if they want to start promoting it would be because of a surprise success like it became. They aren't going to start going to 100 different shows just 10 days after releasing it... calm down, seriously. IF they do promote it, it will take time, some of you were complaining that it was "over" and shaming sony and her team in just 4 or 5 days that it wasn't promoted... my god this is absurd. This is far and away her best performing video on YouTube. If you remember and watched the views from the Paris tribute, recovering, titanic etc.. and the songs and performances between, you'll remember that we would get excited for so little before. We got excited when incredible had 100k or 120k views on it's first day? This hasn't dipped close to that little. Be happy for what we're getting. I think we're being crazy harsh in such a stupidly small amount of time. And you know what, even if it doesn't get promoted outside of being in the movie (yes, an interview stated that it was a center part of the film... whatever he meant by that.) we should be happy we even got this far...

The same can be said about "My Heart Will Go On". This song in minds of people is closely related to "Titanic" and because of Titanic most people heard the song for the first time. And now it can happen again. So there is nothing wrong with a fact that "Ashes" came into existence thanks to "Deadpool".
