I was under the impression that Ashes is Track #1 on the soundtrack - so...I could be wrong, but perhaps just wishful thinking on his part. He's probably feeling a little upstaged by all of our queen's success at this point.

Ashes could be the buzz single and Zhavia's song the main one.. which is coming out 3 days before the movie release.

Spotify is showing 495,314 streams for day 1 & 2.

 

If it maintained that number on Saturday, it's done around three quarters of a million streams in the first three days, which isn't a terrible number but it won't do much for a Hot 100 ambitions.

I have been watching Spotify because that's where my hope was if she has a chance of charting. The first day was nothing... when it finally had numbers I was hurting, because it wasn't close to enough. But the next update was huge, 400k more than before. And the top 50 songs in US minimum was about 500k per day... after the quick jump that just might be possible right?.. and if that happens.. all that's left is radio, which (if it goes well on Spotify and stays great on itunes) might not matter! Also, her monthly listeners jumped from barely 5 million to 5.3. and that number grows much more slowly. So I'm going to be a bit more hopeful.

 

Also, on the ITunes side, I thought the song was finally going to leave the chart on Itunes US, with the Friday releases and time passing, you know people's attention span and whatnot. And she even dropped to 19. Well, she just went up 2 spaces to 17. So she isn't really dropping off fast. She is maintaining something on Itunes there. And if they do decide to promote or talk about it in any form, and with the inevitable react channels eventually picking it up... We might be able to see some hope in this song... Could be wrong, but there's something here, right? lol

One more thing, Youtube views are still great, I went to sleep when the song hit 10m... around 2:30/3 am... woke up 9:30/10 am its almost 800k more. that's approx, 100k per hour. Fantastic still!

Deadpool 2 and Celine Dion Team up For Memorable Music Video

 

"It’s hard to think that this would be possible, but Deadpool and Celine Dion seem to have come together to make a very memorable music video. Who would have thought that this would have been possible a while back? Anyone? To be honest with his level of unpredictability it’s not too far out of left field to see Deadpool doing something like this, especially since his proclivities towards things that others might see as girly or in any way less than masculine are fairly well known. He’s kind of the jack of all trades when it comes to the weird and the strangely elegant elements in life. But Celine Dion is classic when it comes right down to it, she’s the type of singer that you’d want for an epic tale like Titanic or something, not necessarily a foul-mouthed mercenary that can take a hailstorm of bullets and then bounce back in relatively short order. Her voice is indeed classic enough and great enough to do just about anything, but offering her talent up for Deadpool is kind of like pushing an 11 to do the job of a 5, as Wade states that he needs in the end of the clip. And if you know anything about Celine Dion you’d know that she just doesn’t do a 5. Her voice is on 11 most times or it’s simply not on. Even if she’s sick or not feeling up to it, her voice is going to be the absolute best she can give and nothing less. For Deadpool though she might be just a tad too much since he’s really more about campy love songs and hard-hitting beats that lend themselves more to his style.

 

Of course, it was mentioned that Deadpool is kind of odd and likes to flaunt the weirdness right? So it could be that Celine would work for the movie no matter that she’s way over the top for it and would probably be kind of odd to see on the soundtrack list. That wouldn’t stop her from giving her all, but it would definitely be a shining gem on the list or an oddity that would still fit in just perfectly. It’s a bit strange that such a thing would still work in a movie, but with Deadpool it’s a giant hodgepodge of anything and everything goes at times since that’s just the way the character is. Come on, the guy is living with a blind woman and has no compunctions about a lot of things so long as they don’t involve killing the wrong person or doing something that he simply doesn’t want to do. In other words Deadpool’s a pretty open guy."

I do not know what will happen next, but observing all recent events, I think that it's safe to say that through this song/video clip, within only a few days, Céline with her very unique voice, style and personality has became an integral part of "Marvel Cinematic Universe".

 

This song fits many Marvel films (especially to "Avengers: Infinity War") and not everyone can have such a nice chat with Marvel's Hero

 

This is BIG, for both sides. And I like it very much

I think the length of this song plays a role too. With Facebook and the way people absorb info through the internet, people tend to have shorter attention span. This song is short enough to make people wanting more, and not long to bored people. How and when they place deadpool into the video works perfectly.

Now I just hope more music will come soon. After something like this I am very optimistic, but I'm also worried (from experience that Sony never promote her) that the album still is far away. She needs someone who knows how to take advantage of any opportunity, or create one. She needs Kris Jenner, lol.
