It's from this tweet today. Her interview video had NOTHING to do with Trump at all. This news site took her out of context.

 

Anyone can correct this guy? who owned TruePundit. I'm sick of this fake news. >_<

I love all this fake Celine Trump bashing news. Not sure why someone feels the need to make this up though. They could just watch British, or probably any other countries news for a day and just count the number of celebrities who do genuinely just say what they think about him.

She did. Mariah slayed last night. I'm not a fan of her, but I'm glad she came back to prove she's not a past act, and that as every human she can make mistakes. But she totally amended what happened past year in the same place. Vocally she was great, and her look was spot on as she hadn't been seen recently. Hands down! :wub:

 

Wish Céline had done anything close last night, because this time, let's be honest, Mariah won the night and she stole the show.

What are you talking about? I'm not sure if we watched the same thing because if you are going to be objective, mariah's vocals was far from being on-point last night. It was mediocre at best.

Well of course if you compare to last year Mariah did well, but if Celine would have delivered vocally as Mariah did we would be crucifying her. Vision of Love was a total mess, Hero was a bit better thanks to the lip synced part, but she has never been good live anyways. Such a bad luck that Celine had to record it when she was having back problems, a normal night she would have done great showing those nice legs during RDMH :cursing:

Yeah I agree with you.... but only coz her standard is very low already.

 

(while there weren't any mishaps like last year, her vocals were really weak.. but kudos for her trying and in the cold nonetheless)

Yes, she tried her best. It's not easy to sing live in the cold For her standard, she was OK.

I had to double-check and read three times your post. Basically, singing always covers and the same songs, that's what me and many other fans have been "complaining" here about for years -_- :wink:

Wish I could say the contrary, but I'm afraid Céline's standards on her shows have also been lowered in the last years, and for many reasons which I won't repeat here now and not today. We all know those reasons, and I'm not talking about how good/regular she still belts her songs (which is arguable too).

Why couldnt they show the whole thing. They made a big hype about Celine only to show a 50 second clip, jesus they should be ashamed. I was super excited to See Celine on NYE on Fox but instead you get a pre-recorded clip from when she had a back injury thats 50 seconds long. Its quite sad, the song itself is part of a medley and therefor Its less than 3 minutes. Cmon they showed a 7 minute clip of Maroon 5 and a 50 second clip of Celine.... Really ??

 

Edit : I wasnt aware this was the full 3 minute showing. I was under the impression they only showed the 50 second clip posted on YT. Sorry bout that

Celine just came off a vocally stellar tour...and even with a back brace, sounded better than Mariah did last night.

 

I support lip syncing when warranted for a singer to preserve their voice. Mariah no longer has a voice to preserve. She did not sound good. If the cold weather is her excuse this year ("I was told there would be tea"), she's a fool. She's a native New Yorker, and there's no way she didn't know that it would be cold on December 31st in Times Square. If she still had something, she should have done a pre-recorded live vocal and lipped. This was not the time to come and try to prove her "live vocal prowess."

Well having time to wake up now and watch the FOX performance again, I would have taken Purple Rain over RDMH. Oh well, what ya gonna do at this point. :wacko: Bring on 2018! :wub: :)

I'm sorry nothing against Mariah, but it was just a disaster. It's not even a comebackl, she just proved she could really not sing anymore after last year's very bad performance!!

To be fair to Mariah, it was the second- coldest New Years on record in New York, only 9 degrees. About 30 degrees colder than last year. And extremely dry. I don't think anyone could sing well in that weather.

To add to my last post... I don't mind some covers during a full show, but when she shows up on a TV show for ONE song (or just 15 seconds lol), it would be a good idea for her to sing her own songs.

Let's hope she gets more adventurous in 2018 (with her new album, and one off performances... and with Pepe :giggle:)

Maybe wearing something....uhm... less revealing would've helped.

 

They have all sorts of clothing accessoires for cold weather, like scarfs, turtlenecks, etc.

Celine’s vocals on RDMH were amazing i quite enjoyed that!

 

Mariah’s performance was good for her standards.
