That Reason performance is absolutely amazing... too bad she doesn't sound like that anymore

 

I can't believe the ABM performance btw.. You hear so clearly the big note is fake. Even de volume of it is lower than her live singing... shocking this is ging on for a full decade of performances. All with the same prerecorded sample

 

I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm pretty sure The Reason was lipped at that concert, the same track that was used in Vegas in 2011.

 

Edit: After listening to a couple of recordings from this tour, I've noticed that The Reason wasn't completely live... Did she start using a track in the middle of the last tour? There are parts that are different between Copenhagen and London, but then are the same between London and Leeds.

I thought at least the first part of this performance was live. I honestly didn't watch the full clip but mostly listened to it during work.

I should have known that Celine would not sing this live in a setting like this... Anyway, prerecorded or not. The sound of how she sings it in this clip (especially the subtlety of the verses) was gone during the last tour.

This is me. If you tell me Celine 10 years old I'd think it's 'The Reason' or 'Treat He Like a Lady'. Or maybe 'My Heart Will Go On". Which wasn't that popular but still

 

Another great artist comes in my town next year. Anastacia. And guess how much a ticket cost? Only 37 euros for everybody!

I think ticketprices are ridiculously high these years and out of proportion for one evening Celine Dion.

In my opinion Anastacia is a hardworking cool chick. I try not to compare artists, who's more popular, who's more iconic, who should be loved and cherished more, cuz there're LOTS of people who would do all those things cuz this is all what their lives are about... :giggle:

Agree, there is like no way she's gonna do a world tour so I think we should forget about it. A world tour takes months!

I think she will maybe do Asia and then maybe Paris since well she loves Paris and makes a lot of money there (AND spends a lot of money there)

She did say she will book 2 full weeks off for Paris fashion week and do all the fashion shows with no concerts to interrupt her flow.

OK But Fashion Week Men's will be June 20-24 and Fashion Week Haute Couture July 1-5.

Celine have time since June 25 - June 30 for 2-3 concert in Paris for example in new U Arena😊😍

I am quite certain it's completely live. Which parts exactly are you referring to?

 

Starting at the high note before the guitar solo, I noticed that the "yeah" growl at the end was the same at all nights. I'm certain that that part is lipped. The rest of the ending, I'm not too sure about. There are parts that sound similar to each other like "And sleep through the night" and all the "yeah yeah's" but I'm not certain.

Hahahaha. The Reason was sang live throughout the whole first leg of the tour, and you can clearly hear this. In London 21st June she goes D5-C5-E5 where as in Leeds the D5-C5 long note became a D5-C5-F#5/G5 with melismas. Also why would she sing it live for two shows then lip it then sing it live in Arnehm then lip it in Leeds, it doesnt make sense. It was live for the whole tour, if you dont believe me open tabs playing all performances from 20th June -25th June and think again

i agree. Alot of the time she is actually singing live and people assume because it sounds so good or consistent that it's not live. I saw so many instances of this. I'm not a stan that vows that Celine never lip synchs but come on, some of y'all haterz need to give her credit. She's a true professional. And she's a true gifted singer. It's been so many years since Celine last visited the world that she HAS to give prominence to her hits. Giving TPOL and IACBTMN their own place in the show rather than being a medley was a very good decision. She should add WDMHBN, If You Asked Me To (a personal favourite of mine) and ANDHC was the song everybody was missing in Live 2017.

 

I sincerely hope there will be a short tour next year, but I won't get my hopes high because unlike for Live 2017 there are not rumours yet.

See for me the original songs on ATW were very much about her relationship with Rene and very much focused on her feelings in the aftermath of his first cancer. A sexy dance to them with Pepe would seem, well a little odd in the context.

 

It was the intensity that you could feel in her marriage back then and her feelings for Rene that really added the meaning to those songs. Even for me as a fourteen year old at the time I remember how powerful the songs seemed for that reason.
