jpatdeleon09 Posted August 13, 2017 at 06:34 AM Posted August 13, 2017 at 06:34 AM I hope she doesn't do a world tour on the same scale as the TCWT. It was very evident that she was exhausted by the end of that tour and there were many health problems at the end. The way she's doing these mini-tours is working imo. Hopefully, she'll tour Asia and Latin and South America soon. Edit: Also, I don't recall there being a confirmation that she extended the contract to 2021. I believe she was considering it, but there's never been official word yet. She was exhausted back in TCWT? I think it upgraded her voice (she learned how to do those high notes (or mixed notes?)) i think got her vocals became stronger... i think 1 Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted August 13, 2017 at 06:36 AM Posted August 13, 2017 at 06:36 AM She should end first her residency show. Then, take a break for a year and then..... Major world tour 4 Quote

Leo Posted August 13, 2017 at 05:32 PM Posted August 13, 2017 at 05:32 PM First thing should be the Asian tour that was cancelled in 2014. They could add some shows in Australia and New Zealand (not too many since in 2008 none of them were sellouts). Then, with urgency, she should tour English Canada again. It's a shame she's never been back there since 2008! The US is a huge market and they don't reap the benefits of her selling power. The whole TC tour was a sellout in North America with tickets sales being similar to those of the LTAL tour when she was at the peak of her career. She could tour half the USA in one year and the other half the following year. What about other European markets such as Russia where she's never been before? Spain? Portugal? Italy? Ireland? She's toured France three times this decade so she should give it a 2 or 3 year rest so that demand will continue to be strong. She's sold loads of records in Brazil and yet she's never given a concert there. Anyway, even if she's been huge in South America in the late 90s, I have a feeling she can't sell out arenas with expensive prices 20 years after that. It's a bit risky. 3 Quote

We all now she's the best and that her voice is in top shape but in several countries she's no more relevant. Of course I would love to see her in Portugal. She cancelled two concerts in a major stadium of Lisbon in 1999. Nowadays I don't know if she would sellout an arena here. That's probably why there were no shows in Portugal, Spain, Italy or Grece this year. Ireland certainly brings her strong memories. I bet she'll perform there with a next tour. Ncarbia Posted August 14, 2017 at 03:15 AM Posted August 14, 2017 at 03:15 AM I think I've read before that Rene told somebody that she wasn't going to do big tours like TCWT anymore, but some 'mini tours' (like she's doing now) instead. But thinking about it the other day I've arrived to a conclusion... maybe it was Rene who didn't want to tour like TC, because even though he was ok when he told that to the press, he wasn't 20 anymore, and being Celine's manager for such a big tour should've been very exhausting for him too... so, what I wanted to express is that maybe now that she is 'alone', she'd like to do a big tour again. Maybe not 130 dates, but 70/80 would be ok. I think that mini tours idea came from Rene and now Celine has to do it because she doesn't have time to do more shows due to her contract in Vegas, but, it was not her idea. I don't blame Rene, don't get me wrong, but as I've said before, he wasn't 20 anymore and maybe it was him who wanted to stop 'huge tours' and Celine pleased and support him. Raymustgo-on Posted August 14, 2017 at 03:38 AM Posted August 14, 2017 at 03:38 AM It's never too early for a new tour thread! So let the speculation begin: where will Céline tour next year... Asia? Australia? North America? Europe again? I hope there's a Euro 2018 Tour with Paris in summer. Really looking forward to that. Plus I'm planning a Euro road trip next year and this will tie in beautifully with that :-) Sent from my Phantom6S using Tapatalk Quote

Rene said it but I doubt he would have done so without having discussed it with her or gauged how she felt about it. We saw how draining the TC tour was for her aged 40 with one child. Let alone aged 50 something with probably two in tow. Edited August 14, 2017 at 04:47 PM by RosieBarron 1 Quote

I'm not telling she wasn't happy with Rene, but, we have seen Celine recently doing things that maybe 4 years ago were something imposible to imagine. And of course, when you are married you also think in the other person when you make a desition, so it's posible for her, now that she's alone, to change her mind about the tour... as I've said before, maybe not 120 dates but 70/80 instead. Like she does in Vegas, one month or two in the US, rest one month, then Europe and the same for other places. Enviado desde mi SM-J200M mediante Tapatalk Quote

GoldenLeaf Posted August 18, 2017 at 07:35 PM Posted August 18, 2017 at 07:35 PM (edited) The main problem back in 2007/2008 was that Celine didn't really have a break between A New Day... and TCWT. I mean the last show of A New Day... was on December 15, 2007 and the first show of the TCWT was on February 14, 2008 and we know she was rehearsing during that short 2 months gap so she wasn't resting. natrachata Posted August 20, 2017 at 04:01 AM Posted August 20, 2017 at 04:01 AM In 1999 she performed on the runway of Kaitak Airport in Hong Kong. I didn't get to see her at that time because I was too young and didn't have money. So if she ever tour Asia again, Hong Kong and Bangkok of course would be my destination, to full fill my childhood dream. Quote

Celineiac2003 Posted August 20, 2017 at 07:17 PM Posted August 20, 2017 at 07:17 PM She's made it clear a few times that she can't and won't do a big world tour like she's done in the past anymore, especially with 3 kids now and her getting older. She MAY do a world tour in the future, but it won't be as extensive as the previous ones.. I feel that she may do a multi leg tour just split up more, so if she were to come out with a new Anglophone album in 2020 (after 6 months break post the end of Vegas 2019) Then she would start (Probably) In North America and Canada say... February 2020 starting in Mexico and working her way up to Boston by June 2020 (giving her many breaks) Then Canada August 2020 (Like August 10th to 30th. Quebec, Montreal and Trois Rivies) Then around Late October start in Europe, start in Spain then Germany then France then Italy The Netherlands then the UK then Ireland. Finish up in December 2020 Then (after promo such as TV shows etc.) Early March 2021, she could begin in South Africa almost the same layout as TCWT, and finish in April (Summer ) Shortly after in Mid May she could begin in Asia, doing Tokyo,Osaka,Beijing,Taijin,Shanghai,Hong Kong,Manila,Dubai and end that leg in July. Finally she could do Oceania/South America, Start in Australia in September and finish by October then In New Zealand for a few days Finishing the whole tour up in November in Brazil Just an Idea that suits her life giving her plenty of breaks thats why its so long lol 1 Quote

Leo Posted August 21, 2017 at 01:57 PM Posted August 21, 2017 at 01:57 PM She has lots of month-long breaks in between every Vegas leg. She only performs two shows in a row, many songs are lipped, so she's not exhausted at all. She doesn't need like a year-long break anymore. What she needs now is concentrate on the upcoming English album and attend award shows and other kind of events that will give her visibility. Then do some promo tour appearances once the album is out. That will involve travelling to Europe (at least to the UK, France and Germany as usual). That's why I don't have high hopes for a 2018 concert tour. 1 Quote

And if her team really cares about promote album, why no music videos lately? Still hope for the tour but just my opinion.😛 Quote
