btw thanks to The project interview The Essential Celine Dion got charted the first time on Australia's official aria chart! No. 37 on the catalogue albums chart!

interesting to see how this will go!

 

btw Melbourne shows r the best selling ones out of all australia shows as both shows r sold out and other cities still got tix available!

I saw a post about Celine probably not singing The Reason or TCOML due to her cutting it, but I disagree.

 

She cut these songs for a few reasons

 

1. When she transitioned to the Francophone set list she didnt include them as she had created a whole new theme for the show

 

2. When she returned to the anglophone territories, they’d decided to keep Le Ballet as it was a great moment in the show, and to equalise the effort and time it takes to perform it they had to axe TCOML and TR

 

I think the 17 days of vocal rest will do her WONDERS. And due to the fact that The Reason whilst it may have not charted alot. My mother remembers hearing it alot on radio and last year when I was back in Melbourne, I went to 2 different bars and in both bars it was kareoke night, 2 girls both sang TR (terribly but you get the idea). TCOML is also just a valentines classic in general

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that they're both at hotel/casinos owned by Las Vegas Sands. I can't figure out what that would have to do with anything, but it's something the venues' both have in common.

I think someone said in the June 30th Macao topic that they've seen a lot of advertising for the shows in Macau, especially around the arena. So hopefully that wouldn't be the case.

I could be wrong, but I always have the impression the people in Hong Kong / Macau don't buy concert tickets that much in advance. Maybe that's why they decide to wait.

Maybe they are trying to negotiate prices so that the same thing doesn't happen there as in Jakarta.. just a thought

I Love You was a big radio hit in the Phillipines. But yeah they didn't release a single.

 

But I Love You Goodbye was also a big hit in the Phillipines, which was released as a 7" single there:

It seems that the priority was to hit more cities she's never performed in before. Also, any additional dates in Tokyo would have to come after June 26 based on the dome's availability (like the June 27 date that apparently showed up during the pre-sale).
