Am I the only one who missed last years' intro?

 

I mean the build up to her starting TPOL and entering was AMAZING. This year was so "meh". Don't get why they changed it - if it ain't broken don't fix it.

Yes ... that's a dark point of the teamstory! ! ! Mainly the way they got told. But René was already very sick and Aldo incompetent. But noone of us really knows what happened way back then.

Yes to the fresh air when it’s about Mego and an orchestra conductor, but what about Sebastien Carre, the violinist? How much freshness can you bring to a show when you’re a violinist? Doesn’t she need a handful violinists in that orchestra???

 

It wasn’t well managed nor understood in some cases.

Not neccesarely. MKV is even beter quality. matroska / There is software tot take the audio out and replace it with audio that can be read. MKV is a container with video and audio.

missed that too but i think there was an interlude to It’s all coming back and that instrumental part does have something Asian about it. The opening with the hums was so angelic and have to say it sounded the most beautiful in Arnhem. It was so special...

That’s why i said convert it to MPEG4 so all of the tv’s can play in that codec.

With the VLC player you can easily convert the file into MP4 or any other format for TV or iPhone/pads in two easy steps. I just did it and it hasn't lost any quality (on the contrary, the file is now 3,96 Gb :mdr: )

Are you joking right? In the A New Day intro she doesn't even sing, it's a choir of pre-recorded background voices. The 2017 it was all her voice and live every damn time! :blush:

 

Not to mention the French vocal intro too... Double joy! The AND opening is nothing close compared to this imo

I don't think Celine has ever seen such a reaction from the public when opening a show with only using some vocals without any lyrics like the intro for TPOL last year. She immediately got an standing ovation with all the crowd standing up in crazy screaming and applause. A New Day didn't got that not even close.

 

2017 intro was like celestial... It still gives me the shivers!

Overall Celine hasn't been very good on socials for years.

This tour brought a few nice moments, but what they did this tour should be done 3 years ago.

And the success is mainly because of other media jumping on it. But over all, I think those few great pictures, are very poor for an icon as Celine.

 

Also Mia Dumont... 'image and strategy'

Celine is imo the artist with the worst image ever and the strategy in her career... unnoticeable

I think that's why you need to refresh a staff from time to time or put two people on an important case.

Mia has been there for decades, which is very nice, but maybe career wise not the best thing.

Hardly the person to have a finger of the pulse of what the millennial fan wants & responds to. That's why when you go to a Celine concert all you see are folks your parents' / grandparents' age. Beyond cursory (and admittedly improved) social media presence, the "strategy" completely overlooks the millennial audience.

I must say that in 2008 you were right about the audience.

But the last 3 tours I see a lot more younger people or same age as me.

 

So it is changing, but yes they still don't use all the social media in full opportunities to reach a new audience

Well when Aldo was still her manager, her social media activity started to roll. And he gave us some good stuff (like the live videos/streams). After he left it was abysmal... and then finally with the Asia tour, they "woke up" again. But, it's still too "safe" and not too special...

 

I always had the impression Mia worked for her in the past, but not anymore (but she'll still credited everytime)..

These recent times it seems Pepe is more in charge of her image and style.. lol

I recently moved and purchased a second tv. Its one of the newer samsung smart TVs. I figured i would be able to cast directly onto the tv....hell no i had to drag out hdmi cord and plug laptop into tv and switch source and watch as such.

The entire arrangement and the intro - the instrumental part in the beginning, and also added a little reverb.

Actually, you'd be really surprised.

Like Mirage said: the average age has lowered significantly. In a few years time, women between 20-40 have become her most important fanbase. I noticed as much in all the European concerts I've attended (less so in Vegas). Also, interestingly, there's lots of young gay girls who seem to have a crush on her. But that might be a different topic of conversation altogether lol.

I would still consider older people her strongest part of fans but it's true that in the last years she keeps attracting younger fans.

 

Also her social media is improved a lot but I still feel like her team hasn't fully realised the power it has today. Her social media still kinda feels cold and impersonal in a way ( much better than before though)

Agreed — seeing this opening in person was spectacular. Still gives me chills to think about it with the glass shattering, her walking down the stairs....

 

I also loved the Falling Into You / Live in Memphis opening. The Power of Love is just such a perfect opener so I’m thrilled they’ve been using it again.
