superstar85ca Posted May 22, 2017 at 03:09 PM Posted May 22, 2017 at 03:09 PM I just listened to the whole performance. This wasn't lipped at all.. okay maybe some small parts like OOooon in the end.. but for the rest..definately not lipped. I have to say it did not touch me, but the whole setting is beautiful .. as if she came underneath a giant sea squid. The dress like a heart, very haute couture! Having said that, i have heard her singing better in Vegas and then it really touched me. I miss emotion. But maybe because I have heard the song dozens and dozens of times.. But she definately has a queen status lately! And people love her more then ever! And that's great! I know she's been singing the song for 20 years but I'd say even she would be a bit nervous over such a big performance. Maybe she was just trying to keep it together. I mean can u imagine the pressure? I think it's hard to put as much feeling in something like this because so much is on the line whereas when she performs for her fans in concert she can relax and just let go - plus she's already warmed up from performing multiple songs. Omg the analysis we have about our queen LOL. I am absolutely loving the press this year - so positive! After all the years we as fans have had to witness Celine being ridiculed for being who she is - the world is finally accepting her and believing in her! It's a great time to be Celine forum right now:) 4 Quote

Popular Post chawatak Posted May 22, 2017 at 03:18 PM Popular Post Posted May 22, 2017 at 03:18 PM (edited) I mean it's obvious. And I think some people knows it (looking in comments on YouTube, Twitter..). They just respects her. That's why some fans are jealous. It's their idol who has problem that's why they're receiving bad comments. Attitude! Here's my thought after seeing many comments here and there (regarding the negative vs positive comments): From what I saw, only 1-5% left bad comments on Youtube, Twitter, etc. But 95-99% of people out there don't complain. (like in 100 comments you would see only 1-5 negative comments) Even many of them are music artists, career singers, music directors etc. who know technical things much better than us here. I think it doesn't mean they just respect her or don't know what went wrong, but her "overall" performance was REALLY good. So their FOCUS was not on the flatty notes, the different between the last chorus and the rest of the song, the accent, etc. Those things are IRRELEVANT in the public eyes comparing to the "overall" performance she gave -- "PHENOMENAL" that what they called. There was the "longest standing ovation" of the night for a reason. That was not about the name "Celine Dion" or "MHWGO", but the "performance" that she delivered to the audience in that room. I scrolled through Twitter LIVE at that moment and the reactions are all for her "singing". (OK fans' standard and public standard might be on a different level -- fan tend to focus on details; public tend to judge by "overall feeling" they get). Why did Billboard, Rolling Stone (who hated her back then) and many BIG magazines praise her performance like crazy? Are they deaf? Are they delusional? Are they really don't know what went wrong like our hardcore fans here? Do they only praise her because her name is "Celine Dion" or just because the song is called "MHWGO"? I think no, because IF her performance did not do justice or was just "mediocre" in their views, they would not gone all out and hailed her like GODDESS (and 95-99% of readers agree). Even those big names who got BIG awards received much less coverage than her. Personally, it's a bit funny for me that while 95-99% of general listeners out there focus on the positive sides, many fans still focus on negative sides. LoL I think it's the right of fans to comment on every single tiny details of her performance. Free speech is here. But many fans might feel that sometimes it's a bit annoying to see people keep focusing on negatives. Because when we go out there on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, IG, Magazine Websites, etc. we were smiling with the 95-99% praises, but when we come back here, a "Celine Dion" forum, we see discussions on negative things going on and on and on. LoL It gives such a depressive feeling. But for me, I don't blame anyone here, as we all have the right to free speech. But I do think that dress made her a bit too static. She couldn't (or was afraid to) really move. Was it the best performance of MHWGO ever... No. I do love that she gives the songs a new flair, though I thought the lyrics were sung a bit too slow. But I loved her humming at the end! I think it's amazing that Céline has been given yet again the recognition she deserves and this celebration only adds to her already proven legend status. 6 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Everyone respects the freedom of speech and literally all members have the right to express what they feel. However, it is the same freedom of speech which gives the right to members to react to the repetitiveness of negative posts. We all know certain opinions are repeated again and again in every thread by the same people. Someone who finds this frustrating has the right to say so. 2 Quote
Del Posted May 22, 2017 at 03:58 PM Posted May 22, 2017 at 03:58 PM If she's been getting all this attention from the media since last year, imagine how relevant her next English album might get! #HopesUpThat mean the English album has to be on point and well thought. It can't be a bunch of songs thrown together like some of the albums. To capitalize on it and this new found appreciation it will have to be executed perfectly. Curse you Celine!!! CSCfan Posted May 22, 2017 at 04:25 PM Posted May 22, 2017 at 04:25 PM Céline mentioned in interviews that the sound dropped (in her ears) and that the audience "saved" her performance. This probably explains her singing more softly/insecure. http://people.com/style/drake-celine-dion-tattoo-billboard-music-awards/amp/ 4 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

neocshs Posted May 22, 2017 at 04:30 PM Posted May 22, 2017 at 04:30 PM Overall, I wasn't impressed by the performance, and I think due to the setting and the camera work. Her production did much better last year on tour, so I would have expected something more breathtaking. The chandelier was too stady, and the camera work way too repetitive and slow. And also, a little too much autotune, and I really don't get why they would use it on céline's vocals: her singing is not meant for such a tool and it was very noticeable. Regarding her stage presence/vocals, I think that she was quite nervous, therefore she didn't either move much and took risks with the singing. The stage was also too little for a performance meant to be "titanic". THe whole thing was kinda disconnected, it looked more like a celebration for céline herself, or like a continuation from last year's performance. Her voice was fine, she's been doing much better at Ceaser's.If I had to list her recent televised performances I would go like this1-the show must go on2-hymn a l'amour/the prayer(poweroflovegala)3-immortality/recovering4-avec les temps 5-my heart will go on/today show mini concert 6-all the way 2 Quote http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs638.snc4/59806_1286422260657_1833187247_552295_3401062_n.jpg http://www.celinedionitalia.com/banner.png VISITATECI Facebook - Claudio Liggi Youtube - neocshsYoutube - CelineDionItalia93CelineChannelForum - My works about célineCelineChannelForum - neocshs's covers CelineDionMultimedia - my blog

Popular Post GameC Posted May 22, 2017 at 05:11 PM Popular Post Posted May 22, 2017 at 05:11 PM (edited) An interesting review: "Celine Dion Saved the Billboard Music Awards" https://www.theatlan...-awards/527589/ Some quotes: "The Billboard Music Awards is where you can have all your worst suspicions about today’s pop music confirmed. The biggest current stars seemed disposable as they performed in Las Vegas Sunday night" "Singing “My Heart Will Go On” for its 20th anniversary, Dion interrupted the show’s mediocrity and cemented her status as a symbol of perseverance." "Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” saved the Billboard Music Awards, and watching it might now save your Monday." And there is much more But I like this one most: "Dion was once a divisive cultural figure, seeming to embody all of pop’s sentimental excesses in one quivering human. These days, though, she’s taken on elder-stateswoman vibes as a generation of stars raised on her music have loudly proclaimed her influence and critics have given her new respect."
