Overall, I wasn't impressed by the performance, and I think due to the setting and the camera work. Her production did much better last year on tour, so I would have expected something more breathtaking. The chandelier was too stady, and the camera work way too repetitive and slow. And also, a little too much autotune, and I really don't get why they would use it on céline's vocals: her singing is not meant for such a tool and it was very noticeable.

Regarding her stage presence/vocals, I think that she was quite nervous, therefore she didn't either move much and took risks with the singing. The stage was also too little for a performance meant to be "titanic". THe whole thing was kinda disconnected, it looked more like a celebration for céline herself, or like a continuation from last year's performance.

Her voice was fine, she's been doing much better at Ceaser's.

If I had to list her recent televised performances I would go like this

1-the show must go on

2-hymn a l'amour/the prayer(poweroflovegala)

3-immortality/recovering

4-avec les temps

5-my heart will go on/today show mini concert

6-all the way

 

I'm sorry guys but I couldn't agree more

 

But hey if it does the trick who are we to judge

Hair and makeup were blah (like she put her hair up to go to wal-mart), but it is great to hear all the positive things.

I wasn't thrilled with last year's outfit, but by comparison she looked better then. Though this is one of the better dresses what's his face has dug up.

As a fan for more than 20 years, I never imagined to have a moment like this.

Everybody loves Celine. Even Rolling Stone and Vogue praise Celine now. :thumbsup2:

She's fashion, she's respected, she's iconic, she became a living legend. And I truly believe that the best is yet to come! :clap:

I just watched the HD performance and man does she look fantastic! :wub: I also thought the makeup was so so at first but when you see the HD version she's just glowing. And Drake wants a tatoo of Céline's face on his ribcage... LOL Is he falling for our Céline!?? :-D

I'm still getting over it all! More than the performance .....the respect and love for a woman we have loved for most of our lives is overwhelming for me!

 

She has become the top of the top these last couple of years..... she has always been known for that great voice and respected.... but never like this!

 

I can't get my head around it.... people talk of her as if she is a god, a princess..."The Queen". I've always noticed the industry calling Madonna the queen of music, but that is all changing it seems!

 

Her new album needs to be epic! She may just break all records in the over 40's category with this much support and love!

 

I never thought I'd see a time like this in regards to her! I always knew she was incredible.... I'm glade the world has caught up!

The makeup was great. The problem was the stage lighting.

Amazing! Finally the world respects Celine Dion like she deserves. If they would know how many amazing songs by her they don't even know they would be ashamed! They even praised her on radio 3fm today and played MHWGO, that is something very rare.

I don't know if this was shared but I loved this article where Law discusses the inception of the dress and Celine wearing it.

I thought it was absolutely haute couture perfection. I think regular people who don't understand what haute couture really

is will never get the majesty of this dress. I legit got teary-eyed when I saw her wearing it on that circular stage in the round.

 

Also I thought the performance was an incredible moment for her, for us, for the public. It was emotional and powerful. It's

unfortunate how Celine fans are more divided as ever as the years continue. I'm glad the general public are embracing Celine,

despite her fans continuation of criticism and critiques of every minute detail of anything involving her. The level of respect on

this forum is at an all-time low, just when she finally getting the respect she deserves from the general public.

This was epic and the love and attention she has gotten globally after a performance based on her vocals and talent I don't think anyone else out there has come close to this... so bloody proud of her!!!

Only a little after they played the song, but nothing horrible. The even called her 'eigenlijk best een gaaf wijf' and they praised her for nailing the song! They even mentioned her upcoming visit to Holland. Believe me, some dj's will be at the GelreDome but they will never tell!

She didn't move an inch during her song, but it's clear she has the dancing energy inside her when given the proper song. That's why I insist she must get rid of so many slow songs on her repertoire and start doing some more uptempo performances! ^_^ :)

The dress was amazing , she looked like an angel,

 

it looks more like a red-carpet dress, the wings cut her moves in the arms during the performance

 

besides it was sublime
