Several bunch? Only 2 said something to me, and one understood why I felt the way that I felt, after I explained why I reacted the way that I did.

 

"Okay so I know general audience loved it to bits, but here as hardcore fans we can comment."

 

My problem is NOT that people comment on such things, it's the fact that the same lot of you never let the moment, be a moment, FOR JUST A MOMENT. Regardless of how beautiful the moment was, you all go RIGHT IN with "what could be better, how terrible or tired she sounded, playback or not, what she should have worn, what she should have sung, what she shouldn't have sung, the Vegas show is boring (because we watch it every freakin night), stop singing covers..." and then you buy tickets to see her, and talk about how disappointed she will make you if she doesn't sound up to your standard...after incessantly complaining about everything else beforehand...for years. Whether it be one thing or another, she gets picked apart on this forum for every little thing.

 

You complain about EVERYTHING ELSE. You don't get a prize for choosing a new reason to complain.

 

When it's not because I speak about Vegas, it's because I defend an album that I love, and yet I have been critizised about that. When it's not because I passionately defend her own music, it's because Vegas again. And for one time that I have noticed the playback thing and I have posted about it, you were right there to jump to my neck and quote me to silence me.

 

Question is to critizise me, for anything I say, positive or not that positive. It's been like that since months now. You only focus on the negative things I may post, but never on the positive, which I say, and many. Just read back my posts about this performance, and you'll see I wasn't but happy and excited to see this performance, and despite the voice, I really loved the dress and the global recognition she's getting. You're so unfair and biased when you say that I only complain

I think she needs to rest, I do not know if she has new shows in Vegas, but if she does not, she should rest, preserve her voice, it's a great tour in Europe.

I didn't say only you. I said the "the whole lot of you." I also responded to someone else in this regard as well.

I totally get what you are saying. But the same people complain about the same things. Every. Single. Time. I can almost pin point when each complaint rolls in these days. Just enjoy the appearance. Stop with the reiteration of the same crap that is said ad nauseum. We get it. "Her voice is tired." "She's singing an old song." If it was a cover, there would be complaints about that. "Oh no, her hair is up." "These visuals suck. But so do the Vegas ones." It's just sickening that there is just no appreciation for a nice appearance. It always just has to be ripped apart. I don't see any of us with anywhere near the success in our careers that Celine has had in hers. People sit on the computer or on their phones, night after night...listening to and watching the same show...only to have something to complain about. It does get boring watching and listening to the same show, over and over again. That's why I fell back, and stopped watching the videos. I barely even reply in the Vegas show topic anymore. I'm just happy I got to see her on TV. Did she sound a little tired? Sure. But she still sounded beautiful. Playback or not. She still blew all the younger people out of the water.

 

Exactly. I also don't think she cares about "preserving" her voice for shows anymore. Those days are long gone. She is not as disciplined as she was in the 90s and she has even verbalized that multiple times. The lipping trend is not going to end anytime soon, some may as well just accept that.

 

The performance was absolutely wonderful. From the dress, to the visuals, to the playback, to the audience. It was a phenomenal moment. I'm hoping there will be a HD download soon!

From a mimi fan in forum.. The last part is so funny hahahahahahahaha

 

It looked and sounded lipped. The verses sounded like a new pre-recorded track, full of melodyne and the final chorus was from an old track.

 

The staging was nice. Just annoying the Queen of lipping gets away with it again and is heaped with praise while others get scorned.

Meaning that she sounded tired and flat even on an auto-tuned pre recorded track?
