smw Posted October 8, 2020 at 09:41 PM Posted October 8, 2020 at 09:41 PM i think James likes her but nothing much, their chemistry at the carpool was good. Andy loves her, and even called her the "the greatest singer of all time". Ellen on the other, it is obvious she doesn't care for Celine Is there a video of Andy saying by that? Just curious. I thought he was totally team Mariah, with a causal interest in Celine. And yeah, James and Celine had good chemistry but he doesn’t seem to be a big fan. There’s just such a difference between the people who really get Celine (Oprah) & those who don’t (Ellen). It’s so great when people truly get her like we do. Quote

Although I have to say, the arrangement in JHud's performance was close to Celine's than to Roberta's. 1 Quote

No matter how she feels about it.I think it’s all about sales, and the jucier the stories and the more gossip, the better. Bear in mind that this book was published through Andy Cohen books, and he just looks for shade, stupid stories, cat fights and controversy. That’s what a lot of people are interested in, and that’s what sells. No class, just gossip, controversy and shading. Just remember when Celine was on his show last year. The dominant questions were her anger at David Foster for the key change in ABM, the freaking outsinging Aretha story, the Barbara bathroom story. Just trash. Not one single question about new songs Edited October 18, 2020 at 01:51 PM by ryba 2 Quote

Not one single question about new songs It's strange because Mariah explicitly said that this book wasn't the gossip version of her life. It was about her family history and childhood issues. So actually this chapter was one of the exceptions and seemed strange for that reason. But yes Andy is all about gossip. Which, I appreciate actually, because also Celine never gets into that stuff and dishes the juicy details. However, it would have been nice for him to ask about the album. But the reason he didn't is because his show is exceptionally short and rushed...and Celine would've been very long-winded with her answers I'm sure. Quote

smw Posted October 22, 2020 at 10:08 PM Posted October 22, 2020 at 10:08 PM (edited) I loved her androgynous look in 1995. Very Annie Lennox. During this time she shifted from pop singer to icon. 1995 was THE year for Celine Dion in my opinion. In addition to D’eux, she and Rene laid the groundwork to dominate the late 90s. We all contain multitudes and we should be allowed to express the different parts of ourselves. Celine has certainly done that over the years. She’s been through many transformations. Also on the album cover for deux I think some of her very best looks are male/androgynous. Of course, the haircut matters a lot though to pull it off, and here it is among her worst haha. But one of her top 10 looks for me is her looking "male" in 1995. I forget if it was shown on Andy Cohen or not. Edited October 22, 2020 at 11:19 PM by PuraVida Quote
