I love the short bob. The long hair/extensions was getting old. Time for a fresh look for a fresh Celine!

But really, who cares about her f***ing hair?! It doesn’t change the sound of her voice... It’s HER body, we have no right to demand she wear it any way other than how she sees fit.

 

That goes for the bob, the extensions & wigs, the chignon/bun, the buzz-cut, the spiked hair...

 

I’m glad she’s rebelling against the static Vegas image with long-flowing, brown trusses (which, correct me if I’m wrong, may have been a contractual requirement be Caesar’s?).

 

Maybe if her fans weren’t so “protective” of their “favourite Céline” and resistant to change, she’d embrace more diversity in her damn setlists, too!

I doubt Caesars would put her hair on a contractual thing, if so it was rene that agreed.. they renewed it in 2013 if im not mistaken..

I guess the setlist change is something that we can’t really say that has to do with the fans or not, 2016 tour she introduced lots of songs she never did, 2017 she introduced the reason, think twice, the colour of my love, loved me back to life (even though these two were just for a couple of concerts)

What i miss is something like taking chances tour, a tour to promote the album. This one seems an ok tour not “Courage World Tour “

She wore her hair many ways in Vegas over the course of the residency. She had it just above her shoulders and slicked back straight for a while remember.

Does anyone know if the June Leeds 2017 concert is on YouTube in full or is it just in segments?? I’m feeling a bit meh today after looking back at my pics from Leeds 3 years ago today and would quite like to reminisce with a beer or two later. I can only seem to find the full second August show on there which I didn’t attend.

 

Today it’s really hitting home that I should be counting down to seeing her again in Glasgow in just under 3 months and instead we’re now going to have to wait 10 months!! I’ve been trying to remain positive about it, it’s not the end of the world after all and with all that’s going on in the world not at all important but today is proving tough 😢

I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but maybe their logic is that in the age of YouTube where everything is online instantly, they don't feel the need to put anything out there. Look how many well-made fan-made things are out there. Yes, it's not quite the same as an official production, and the quality is certainly different. But if a fan can piece something together easily enough, (not to mention cell phone video quality has drastically improved over the last few years) and it doesn't cost them any production $$$....I kinda feel like if they had any intention of releasing any of these they would have done it already.

 

The only release I'm *slightly* hopeful to get is the Vegas show. The production factor is definitely there with those shows. And while I'd love one for each version (2011 version, revamp in 2015, and the final version for the last run after the Asia tour) I'm thinking we may only get that final version from all the filming that went on that last week of the show. I'm not holding my breath for that either but, realistically,if anything, that's the only release I see coming in the near future. And maybe, just maybe the Courage World Tour (because it's a world tour versus some of the mini-tours lol).

Lol thanks! It is a shame to not have either of these as an official release because I feel like they're some of her best shows and the set-lists were amazing. A refreshing change to some of the same-old stuff we've had in the past. But I also understand, if they're going to spend money to release something, their goal is to make money, as-is any businesses goal. So it's going to be something that pleases that masses compared to just us die hard fans. I agree it's a shame but that's reality.

According to this article a concert from Amália Rodrigues, the most famous portuguese singer ever, filmed at the L'Olympia de Paris in 1956 will be released next month. The singer died in 1999.

 

All Celine concerts and unreleased songs will certainly be released... but we'll have to wait...

At the moment Carlos aka Celine Fan 77 and I are super busy so for now we decided it's best to put the petition on hold until we have more free time. We want to be able to devote all our energy into this and not have it turn into a half hearted attempt. When it starts up we will post and let you all know what everyone can do to help. If you want you can also post this in the 2016 thread for those who don't check this one.

I have had this thought a couple of times over the last few years. It's sad, but it makes the most sense at this point. They are a business, and they want to make a net profit after any venture.

 

What I would *really* want though is double CDs/download/Spotify of the music of the 2015 revamp opening night and 2016/2017 summer concerts. Good clean versions of the music to listen to with minimal screaming and talking during the songs. To me, that is the most important thing at this point. But this is probably a pipe dream as well.

Celine has her own production team ish i believe, she uses her own team for concerts like equipment (camera , screens, sound system and so on)

 

I actually wouldn't mind if they mix footages to release a concert dvd (but has to be the same tour though haha)
