It’s just been too long since something great was released, especially an English speaking tour! I just want to buy it, even if it’s individual releases. I don’t mind as long as something is released. The 2016 tour actually is a must release, because the tracklist was just a one of a kind treasure! Great rare French songs! The 2017 tour is a must release as well, because the visuals, the way she looked and also the tracklist and interludes were amazing and better than at any other tour! These 2 simply are a must, that’s why a release of the 2018 Asia tour alone just won’t satisfy me. It's 350 m² and contains three bedrooms, a biiiiig living room, a dinner room, a fitness room, a fullquipped kitchen (so that Céline can cook a little soup for her dear ones ) and some other rooms. As they stayed nearly 60 days only this suite did cost 1,5 million Euros!!!!! And this is WITHOUT costs for her entournage, who surely weren't forced to stay in the basement! So that whole hotel must cost around 2 - 2,5 millions. No wonder they cheered them on leaving!!!! Apart from that: Then the shopping expenses the gas for the plane food in very luxury restaurants ... and well, could really be, the 2 months @ Paris did cost 3 to 3,5 Million Euros. Thank God, she's got 28 Millions in her pocket, through selling her waterpark! THESE ARE JUST MY assumptions. Maybe everything was much cheaper or way more expensive. Wow, what memories. I loved these shows so much. Celine's own energy and banter was fun to watch too. A lot of times when i watch tour videos i dont pay much attention into the speeches but here i just put it on and watched it all (surprised i actually recorded ALL of that and even the playback songs too lol, i know my arm was tired). London june 20th and bordeaux june 29th were the shows i watched. I was really pleased watching them on my tv but what great setlists that i had somewhat forgotten. I don't know how many times I was like oh yeaaaa!! Just now i was caught off guard with her rolling into EUS after mhwgo... LOL. The only thing that bugged me is in the french shows there was no need for refuse to dance/love is all we need/black and white...with such FEW english songs in the french set i think ttwii and ONE of either lmbtl/tc/IA would have been more appropriate. However, this medley is preferred over the likely alternative of just having the english playback fillers. Also I am glad that they have comprised a french setlist 75%. Remember the 2008 french dvd with a whopping 6 or 8 french songs total?? The greatest thing is that generally her shows of recent can be separated into parts.....beginning, middle, end....for quite a few years the beginning and end were always the same. The beginning in 2017 saw the most changeup. I remember being in the audience at the bordeuax concert and somg after song i just had no clue what was next. It was at least 16 songs in the show before she got to the usual pattern. Even in london, it was nice having a rather live start...sure she may have playbacked tpol but the next probably almost 10 songs after that were live. Thinking about vegas old, TC, and vegas new it was always a highly playbacked beginning segment and the main thing during these years that would change was the middle segment. Most of these songs would rotate more and be sung live...The ending would be the same with mhwgo playbacked for years, boring ending segment....the 2017 tour when watching from start to finish on the couch is just so much more satisfying than the last 20 years...the beginning and middle segments both lasted for what felt like eternity, song after song across many eras...i even forgot about show must go on toward the end lmao. The ending segment nowadays feels more genuine, less rushed, and significantly more intimate than prior. Seeing how the 2018 tour looks in pro shot 4K makes me want to see 2017 so badly in the same... Off to search for 2016 show video now... 8 Quote
