RosieBarron Posted July 21, 2017 at 01:15 PM Posted July 21, 2017 at 01:15 PM (edited) It depends on your definition of grieving. I will always miss the ones I lost through the past, but that's not what grieving means IMO. And I have a very specific relation to death... I'm not the kind of people who is crying a lot, and think about my lost ones that much. Some bad days, yes. But in my family, they teach me to go forward and never regret the past, never be nostalgic, and enjoy the present. That can explain why I'm so optimistic ( too much sometime )But that's just my opinion Maybe Bern was a bad day ( and a bad audience xD). But since the beginning of this tour she didn't mention Rene at all. Except in Bern as you said. So my opinion is that she doesn't want that people see her as a widow anymore. In media anyway she seems to work for a joyful and happy image of herself and her children. What do you think guys ? She certainly mentioned him when I was at the O2 in June. More than once of course cause she speaks about him at the end of the English shows loving the Show Must Go On. angelil78 Posted July 21, 2017 at 01:19 PM Posted July 21, 2017 at 01:19 PM Nope! Because of the 14th of July 2016. These heart she has on her t-shirt is made of all the name of the victims of NICE, last year. This heart is everywhere on tv this week in France. Yesssssss so I wasn't that tired after all, I was right then Oh yeah just saw on twitter, someone posted an up close picture and then the picture of the original tshirt and the names. So sweet and still very sad Quote
angelil78 Posted July 21, 2017 at 01:38 PM Posted July 21, 2017 at 01:38 PM Well. Yesterday was my first show of the tour , then I will go to London july 29th. Celine was unbelievable yesterday. But I ve been very disapppointed about the audience .I was at The 8th rank near to the stage and people were stuck to their sits. Unfortunnately this is due to Prices in my opinion. People in the first ranks are the richest ones but not the big fans (like me). An old rich grandpa next to me told me to sit dawn. Happily Céline told us a lot of time to stand up.she is not helped with this kind of crowd .I think I would have prefered the show in an other rank where people went crazy every time Céline sang a note. I m in category 4 in london and I m ok with it. Yeah I saw the Red Heads were very upset about the crowd on Twitter. I loved the crowd in Paris. I had heard that there were a few "no BIG fans" in the first rows for some of the Paris shows but when I was in the 2nd row for July 9th, there were only BIG fans in the first 3 rows and it was crazy fun. It took Céline af few tries to get us to sing the last line of "Because you loved me" because of the first rows. So much fun! 2 Quote

sfbaysinger Posted July 21, 2017 at 03:45 PM Posted July 21, 2017 at 03:45 PM After finding the youtube video from last night in Nice...wow. I like a few of the new high note things she did in Refuse to Dance. I know a lot of people think that song is getting sloppy and going down the same vein as love can move mountains, but, for now anyway, I am really loving it. Immensite was the best I've ever heard it, and you all know I LOVE that song so for me that's saying something. lol Also, I think PQTME was the best it's ever been, too, the things she added that are not usual stand-by's for that song. I'm also really loving the little riffs she does when SSDA starts. That's new! sad that the French leg of this tour is over, what an era! 4 Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! Popular Post Matias Posted July 21, 2017 at 04:31 PM Popular Post Posted July 21, 2017 at 04:31 PM (edited) The main difference about this tour and last years is that her grieve is over (I mean the widow image people may had had) It was a more "low key" tour (no wardrobe changes, a more "coming to peace with her career after Rene was gone", a reconection with her fans if you will..These concerts are wild, sexy, going down memory lane and being hip at the same time, even MHWGO does sounds different.Celine is having fun not only with fashion, but with the new part of her life, A part of me see this fun cool Celine as a "middle life crisis era" in a good way! don't get me wrong! I love it, I just feel like after Rene being sick, she is seeing light after a long time, besides being under his wing and him being guiding her, perhaps prevented her from really, really expressing herself? And no, Celine is not the same as she was 20 years ago (career wise) she is a down to earth diva, thats what I love her (cough cough Mariah Carey) LOL But she is waaay more in control now and may be because she is almost 50 or because she is sans Rene..either way, it is intereseting to see where this leads Celine next!
