I loved the songs of the show, I would just take im Your Angel and put A new Day Has come, two songs in a duet with Barnev, nothing against him, but it would be better a virtual duet with R Kelly.

 

We need to petition for a DVD of these shows.

Can't get over this setlist. FIVE songs from TCOML!! More than from any other album. I looked at the songs by album -- 5 from TCOML, 4 from FIY, three from LTAL, and at least one or two from EVERY SINGLE English album she's ever released except Unison (including a Christmas album and a Greatest Hits album). Truly truly extraordinary setlist. Wish I were in Copenhagen!!

I just got home from work and I'm still buzzing!!! I only heard everything once and omg even though its late I'm getting on my computer and going nuts with listening! My favorite songs by far were My Love, TCOML, RTD, and LIAWN.

 

I am very proud of her tonight. She still shows she's got it and she knows what to do and when to do it. Her fashion choices weren't the best but I feel that it's fine. It's what she likes, and she works it around the stage so I think it's fine! She is who she is and I'm not going to mess with it. I know some people didn't love the setlist, but I LOVED it because of all the uptempo and never performed songs.

 

My ONE WISH for tonight is that they axe Kiss/Purple Rain and LCMM/RDMH in Vegas and add in RTD/LIAWN/Misled/Black or White. They can't like have an excuse it's still four songs in the medley and four songs axed. That would make the Vegas show sooooo much better to me!

The biggest surprises for me -- songs I NEVER in a million years would have guessed that she'd sing -- were Refuse to Dance, Misled, THLAL, and LIAWN. None were hits, none were fan favorites, all well over a decade old, she'd very rarely or never sung them before, and there was no real emotional connection or personal story for her with the songs. And I don't love any of these songs -- but if I'd been there in person, I'm sure I would have gone crazy and sang along with every word, just from the excitement of seeing her do something so different that's still part of her repertoire. So great that she's reaching back into her own songs!

 

The other two big surprises for me were LMBTL and TCOML. They were less of a surprise because I knew she loved both those songs so much, and (particularly with TCOML), there was an intense personal connection. But I would have guessed they might be too hard to sing after Rene's passing. But she was soooo amazing! (Cannot get over the beauty of TCOML. Does anyone know if she said anything before singing that song? I can't find video of the moments right before she starts).

I didn't get to read all these messages and watch the videos until I get off from work. But it was so fun going through the messages, revealing each song one by one, just felt like I was here with all of you. Thank you for the excitement! And what a setlist, full of surprises. The very highlight for me would be TCOML and Love is all we need. I also enjoy songs like refuse to dance, love is all we need, even more with these shorter versions. Black or white was cool too!! Haven't watched many of the videos yet. Gotta do it now. I like how Celine puts so much effort and passion to the songs list, the lighting, the arrangements...Unlike the usual Vegas stuff. Thank God. She must have listened to TCOML in preparation for the tour. I can't imagine how she felt when listening to the album in which she revealed her love for Rene, now that he's gone. And clearly she holds that album dear to her.

Agree. I don't know what's the point of singing I'm Your Angel on this tour again. And let's be honest, you are all wondering what's Recovering doing here, when we all thought she was done with it already (at least outside Vegas!).

 

And My Love from the TC album... sorry but I think there are much better options in that album like Surprise Surprise, TJTWIM or even Alone. I mean, this song already had its moment in 2008 right? It was specifically performed for that tour, it was well promoted with a GH album and even had a single. Why include it again after 9 years? To fly back in time for the nostalgics of that tour in the audience? I don't get it.

 

And TSMGO again in this tour, after the 2008 tour, after Vegas, after 9 years!... Such a nosense with these songs, that are taking place for others waiting to be discovered by the audience.

 

She needs to move on with songs that she already included in past tours, and someone should tell her.

 

Someone said why can't be Vegas like this, but I saw Vegas on wheels + some parts of the TCWT nine years ago. Recovering and HDAMLF were included for the Vegas setlist as brand new songs, and of course she has to bring them on tour now. Why oh why can't she give the same honour for her tour?

 

That entire section with TCOML, ML, Recovering, I'm Your Angel...was all about Rene. The entire thing. TSMGO, was Rene's favorite song. It's not going anywhere, anytime soon. I didn't find it to be "Vegas on Wheels" as she did proper versions of the hits. She split the IACBTMN/POL medley, which was a huge plus. That ending to IACBTMN...was absolutely golden. This set list is very good, in my opinon. For an English show, I did not expect her to dive deep into the vault, but she pulled some great tricks out of her sleeve. And rearranging the hits to sing them properly was a huge step in the right direction.

Most importantly, THIS is the type of songs I wish Celine includes in her upcoming English album. It will be a dream to have an album consisting of soft, mature, emotional ballads like this one! I am not expecting her to only sing songs about lost love, there can be a variety of topics! However musically, I think she excels in this particular type of ballads. Her voice always shines in songs like The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Tears In Heaven, S'il Suffisait D'aimer and so on! I think people will love such recordings! And personally, I have missed this Celine from LMBTL, TC and OH. It has been a while!

I like SBYS and it would be great to have a live performance of it. I think IDAN and EJTE are the brilliant songs of OH, but I do love IKWLI and SBYS! However, I do not view them as songs that NEED to be performed. And I genuinely enjoy the fact that Celine supported the TCOML album with this tour. Come on! I think since the Falling Into You Tour we didnt get such an amazing setlist, I think it was more the fans and less "commercial" than her setlist in Vegas (she plays it safe because even though she has a full house every night, not everybody knows her repertoire, so she does boring covers so she can please everyone.

But after tonight?? My oh my!!! Refuse to dance??? it was her opening song during the TCOML Tour in 93-94!!! amazing!

A few more oldies and Im in heaven! In my opinion she should do the Millenium concert thing....start with MHWGO and get it out of the way

Such a wondeful thing she is FINALLY singing the songs we all grew up with!

 

And RC doing rap?? Daaamn! Poppa Angelil would be proud kid has talent!
