Complaints about setlist after what this woman just did, more than two hours of pure gold voice. I feel sorry for those who are never satisfied, really. All I have to say is long live the Queen!

Ok, so this is my review:

 

In general, the concert was too predictable and they played it safe AGAIN, which is a shame.

 

Things I didn’t like:

 

- Taking Chances tour part 2 with some changes

- Mostly same old standard songs (Please get rid of LCMM once and for all, it seriously gets annoying!! All By Myself, Taking chances, The reason and My love: are you serious?)

- Another cover as the final song

- Celine’s second costume was too “edgy”, reminded me too much of Lady Gaga (and get rid of that socks, Celine!)

 

 

Things I liked:

 

- Celine’s hair and makeup. It was just on point. Couldn’t be any better!

- Great visuals (apart from the one for MHWGO, totally plane)

- Love is all we need (great modern arrangement and stunning visuals)

- Think Twice, LMBTL and Some Songs from TCOML album were brought back to life

 

 

All in all:

- A wasted opportunity, since songs like Naked could have been included in a cool acoustic medley

- She should get rid of Taking chances, The reason or My love and include Stand by your side as a second final song, so she doesn’t make all this effort to run to the platform in the back for just one song

Yeah, long live the Queen, because she can do much better and risk much much more! And she will, with the French setlist ;) But with her English shows, it's obvious she doesn't take risks, contrary to what we saw last summer for her French audiences.

In general, the concert was too predictable and they played it safe AGAIN, which is a shame.

The Reason: one of the songs she retrieved to be included back in her 2011 Vegas show. Why retrieve it for this tour again? No sense.

 

My Love: a song that was specifically included to be performed in the TCWT, as a pivotal number during the show, that already had its time. It was promoted for a GH album and even had a single released back in 2008 with it's live performance during that tour. What's the point of recovering it for this tour, after 9 years? Any. No sense again and a wasted space to perform a new song instead.

 

How Does A Moment Last Forever & Recovering. Seriously? The only excuse to bring these two for this tour is because she doesn't have to rehearse two brand new songs instead :innocent: They are performed in Vegas, and one of them is already one year old, and with its run already used up. Done with it!

 

I'm Your Angel? Yes, you all know the only reason for including this song is because she had to sing something with Barnev :hmm: :ninja:

 

The Show Must Go On: same story as with My Love. Retrieving two songs that were included specifically for her last tour NINE years ago, makes absolutely no sense. TSMGO had its moment in the TCWT, had its moments in Vegas, had its glorious exposure in Billboards, and Celine seems not to give up on stretching the gum until it breaks :innocent:

 

LCMM and RDMH an MHWGO: and so we have the umpteenth tour thar will end in the same way as the 17 previous tours...

 

Thank God for the songs retrieved from TCOML album and for that final uptempo medley. Do you remember the 2013 live show, for which that medley with Incognito/DMQS/JDDMT were, next with the brand new song performed (LMBTL) the only breath of fresh air to that show? Well, something similar applies with this setlist, thanks to that medley :)

My PC has just started encoding the full 2h20m show. I'm leaving to have a bit of sleep and I hope that in 4-5 hours I'll have everything uploaded to my channel

Exactly. I don't have a reason to complain even though I have my favourites and less favourites

Don't get me wrong, the concert was great and I appreciate the fact that she tours and wants to still please the fans. That’s something we should really be thankful for. But singing the same songs over and over again on every tour and in every show… please…

Maybe it's because I've had a few whiskeys...butvseriously? Can you be any more aloof? Céline has just sung her absolute heart out in 28 songs, incredible new arrabgements, on songs she hasn't sung for over 20 years and you're saying she played it safe? She had to sing her greatest hits. Period.

Yes, I am a die-hard fan and I know every one of her concerts, that's why it bothers me to hear 80% of the same songs in every single concert for more than 10 years now. It bores me as a fan. Sorry, That's just my personal opinion. I agree, she gave it her all and put a lot of effort. Edited by ryba
