For me, there is somewhat more of a finality with this Vegas show than “A New Day...” I think everyone expected that she’d return to Vegas after TCWT, but this one feels a little less certain.

 

The woman single handedly revitalized and saved the economy of a major US city.

Here’s my video of the end of BYLM! Don’t know if it’s a standard shtick she does but it cracked me up 😂😂😂 her comedic timing is hilarious!!!

"Ciao for now Las Vegas" I wouldn't even be surprised if she's already made a new deal for the next residency already, lol. It just won't be revealed to the public until a couple of years or something.

 

For what it's worth, this account has historically had good intel.

Would make sense, since Park Theater is an AEG-operated venue, while Colosseum is now switching over to an exclusive deal with Live Nation.

Watching the last show yesterday I kept expecting her to tear up and just lose it at any moment. I was really surprised at how she was able to keep it together. Watching this video I understood why she was so focused. I find it adorable that she says 'I want to be strong, I'm flying on my own', all in a very strong way, but then she goes back to 'Rene will always be part of my life'. Celine is just amazing!

So many mixed emotions today... It rally does feel like the end of an era, even though Celine will surely play Vegas again in *some* capacity.

 

I'm sad that the residency is over.

I'm ridiculously excited for the new album, the world tour, London...

 

I'm incredibly thankful that I got to see Celine three times in Vegas. This more than compensates for the fact that the show was cancelled when I flew out to see AND in October 2007.

 

I am so mad that I *only* saw the show three times. What was I thinking? It's like I took for granted that Celine would be in Vegas forever and I'd be able to go whenever I wanted.

 

So happy for the people that got to see the final show last night; those who enjoyed the show 100+ times; those people that got to have their moment on stage with Celine; for those who had their selfie taken during the Immortality walk through; for those she joked with and those who were able to have meet and greets over the years.

 

I am so painfully jealous of the same people :laugh: ... seriously :wine:

 

Sad as it is that it's over, Celine needs to relish this new found liberation and there are so many possibilities that it is hard not to get excited.

 

Last week I flew out to Vegas by myself to see her at the Colosseum for the last time. Despite my apprehension, I am so glad I did it and it's fair to say I had an amazing time. But I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner and more often - I feel like I depended too much on others to accompany me that I prevented myself from seeing the show more frequently. I don't think I could have made it 200+ times like some other fans, but at least one visit a year or whenever the show had an overhaul or setlist change would've been nice!

 

Las Vegas really has been like a paradise for Celine fans - her face looks down on you from enormous billboards, the Colosseum is essentially her second home; her songs play in shops and restaurants (including the French ones!); and there is even a Celine Dion store!! We truly have been spoilt!

Did anyone record the Red Heads live stream last night? Most is available on demand except I noticed the part with You're The Voice and Fomo are missing which is a shame cause I wanted to have the full show to keep forever.

The clip of her teasing her bodyguard is so cute. Her dancing style to these songs is like an uncool mom dance lol, it's adorable and reminds me of my mom.

 

It's so great seeing her having fun, dancing, and being silly with friends.

There's a bit of her dancing in Tiesto's IG stories, too.

She's definitely working the DJ crowd! Started with Steve Aoki and now she's rubbing shoulders with the rest of 'em!

I am now in love with this version of "Somewhere over the rainbow'.Did anyone else notice that at 2.48 when she finishes the song she touches her nose, like she used to do to communicate with Rene, turns around and sends him a kiss, and of course I am quite sure that there was an LV sign somewhere there. Well ok Celine, make me tear again! Beautiful song and ending of an era.
