I've read through some of the comments and it's heartwarming

 

Very heartwarming. Goes to show how Celine is almost synonymous with the Colosseum. And that’s how it should be considering it was built for her show and she revitalized Las Vegas.

 

In the coming years, she deserves many more awards and recognition for all she’s accomplished.

While this obviously means nothing concerning Celine, I thought we should put on the record that Katy Perry announced in April that she would be ending her residency on November 4th of this year and just this morning Luke Bryan announced he's ending his residency on January 6th of next year. Again, just noting for the record but I do find it interesting that come January of next year, Resorts World will be down to one "permanent" headliner in Carrie Underwood. Will be interesting to see who they get to fill those spaces if Celine isn't yet able or unable to.

Does anyone here have the August 13, 2011 recording, ore Tristan’s from January 2019? I think I’ve posted quite a few links to what I have, though I’d have to go through them a bit more. I can’t believe this residency began 12 years ago. Crazy to think I was just 8 years old then lol. Edited by Abodi2002

Today I have for you guys the audios of June 12, 2012 and March 15, 2014, somewhat corrected audio. To make downloadable versions of these files, I recorded the audio into my audio recorder with an old iPad and another cable I had, I actually had the March 15 one for a few years now, Also sorry the June 12 one is in three parts.

I just watched clips of Christina A’s new Vegas show. Not my cup of tea — was a bit sloppy — but the venue is interesting.

 

It always tickles me how there’s similarities among hardcore fans of the divas. “I wish her team would…”, “I wish Christina would sing this song…”, “She needs to do more songs like this….”, “Her new album would have more hits if she sang in this style…”

 

We’ve all been there, done that. And now the fans of these millennial divas are getting a taste now that there’s a new crop of singing stars (Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, etc)

I was happy to be there, but it's probably my least favorite Céline concert I've attended - she seemed pretty over it all and disconnected throughout. She went through the motions, but I just didn't feel much excitement or passion from her at all, and her voice was rough outside of a fairly limited range. Still enjoyable, but not a patch on other shows.

 

Still, we got the special thank-you letters...

What other times have you seen Celine? Seems your experience echoes those from other members here, at least for the May and June period. Btw is it known why May and June wasn’t good vocally, whereas November 2018 through March was technically better, despite being rather nasal?

I've seen her live 18 times since 1988, so I've averaged about once every couple of years - although some years have had multiple events and other times it's been a good few years between shows. I don't really track her vocal performance quality other than what I may read on here, though. I just notice when she sounds rough to me!

I saw Celine in Vegas in 2011, some of her best vocals ever in my opinion in the 1st/2nd year of the “Celine” residency.

I also saw her multiple times in Vegas for the first residency and in 2016 right after Rene passed and she returned. Then again on the TCWT and CWT.

 

Hands down the 2011 beat them all vocal wise.

 

I also got to see her mini concert in Michigan at the auto show for the promotion of her Chrysler collab in 2002. She was amazing that night, too bad before the era of smart phones.

It was so long ago, and I was much younger lol… so I can’t remember if it was live or playback but she did perform it!

It would be interesting to maybe see that performance one day as we know it was playback for both the CBS special and world children’s Day. I wish all of her private events like that were professionally released as broadcasts. Her come back in 2002 was decent, and then the residency happened lol.

It will be interesting to see if Celine turns up at Adele’s show since it will be ending soon.

 

If so, I hope they have a nice moment together.

 

It’d be epic if they sang together, even for a moment.

I think this is the last weekend until a few dates in November to make up for the cancellations a few months ago.

Maybe she’ll turn up this weekend… but she may be avoiding the colosseum on purpose too. :hmm:
