lol, she is as blond as in 2003 when she was awarded woman of the year :D did you notice? Tha is a crazy strong blond right there! :D

Nooooo. Not even close. When Celine received the woman of the year award, she was BLEACH blonde. Like almost to the point that her hair was going to break off if she bleached it one more time. That hair was white.

correction... her wig was bleached blonde! :sofunny: it never looked really natural when she went from the short blonde to the long bleached blonde. Only in 2005 with the long brown hair (à la LTAL tour 99) it looked natural again.

Yes of course, but I think 80% of that hair was a wig/extentions.

We can sit here and argue day in and day out about what's good and what isn't about the residency at the moment. What changes we'd like to see and so on but at the end of the day we cannot deny that Rene's vision turned into a masterpiece and has paved the way for so many other artists who now have Vegas residencies. Rene you were and still are amazing and we all love and miss you so much.

It’s a shame, but I think we have seen the last of her performances of IYA. I think for the rest of her career this song will forever be buried.

A beautiful song, a successful song that spent 6 weeks at number 1.

 

It’s shame, he allegedly did those nasty things.

Question, do y’all think we will get a tour announcement even before Vegas is over?? Trying to plan a trip to see her but wondering when we will get an announcement! She should announce something before June I would hope

I'm hoping since Celine has a month off starting the 21st that that is when the floodgates will open and we'll start getting info about any new music and any tour she has up her sleeve.

Ok, this probably won't be popular but I hope that she takes a year, or dare I say it, two off after Vegas and the album promo. This is just my opinion but she does not look healthy to me. She is looking like she did at the end of AND, emaciated. Again, just my thoughts but I love her so and want her to take time and pick her own tomatoes.

Have you seen the doc? (All 6 parts are now on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube, etc, if not)

Or a BBC documentary along the same lines from last year (different witnesses; same story)?

 

I don't think most people were aware of the extent of it all. I certainly wasn't.

Maybe because I don't like R&B and was largely out of the loop of pop culture from ~2002-12 and so was only aware of him through the '90s association with Celine and peripherally via the really obvious songs like I Believe I Can Fly. But I didn't know about the illegal marriage, or the widely-distributed child porn tapes (and the extent of evidence of both), much less everything else.

 

Plus we're in a #MeToo & #TimesUp cultural moment where women are finally finding the courage to come forward against powerful men and are not being swept under the rug. About time.

If she will be touring the US then there might not be any tour announcements until June because then the residency won't sell out if people know they can just wait for Celine to come to them. And if this does happen then I think a US/world tour will happen either by the end of the year or next.

 

Celine has mentioned having many opportunities at her disposal and from the way she said it something tells me it's things she hasn't done before, maybe, and isn't related to touring/residencies. Whatever it is, she's excited, and I think and hope it'll bring great things for us as fans.

I hope so too. And during that time she can still take the opportunity to record amazing new music. But no live performances. No touring. it would do her really well. And hope then she gains some weight. she looks so frail lately.

frail? no, she's fit, more than ever imo. She has good definition in her arms and legs.

I'd wager that working out is part of the reason why she feels younger.

Besides, Celine is naturally thin because she takes after her dad (as does RC who is also a very thin person, even though he does sports).

I think she's training more than ever before and that's why she looks thinner. But more muscles!

Training for the Olympics or for a movie? :-D
