That’s true, I like RAIN TAX...

Some of the songs I cannot hear are...

 

“I Knew I Loved You”

“ Right Next To The Right One”

“ A Song For You”

 

 

Where as I can literally only listen to one song on Miracle. “In Some Small Way”.... i dont know why but ISSW is just a masterpiece to me, i especially love the performance of it she did on the tonight show

That’s because she did that adlib run at The climax of the song, In my opinion one of her most beautiful notes ever.

The choir sounded way more present and loud... i dont know why but ISSW studio version was kinda... quiet i dont know

I love how we all have specific tastes when it comes to her songs. I personally cannot listen to this song and have always found it to be a big blemish on the ANDHC album.

 

It is interesting...what one person loves, another person hates. That’s what makes the fan world go around. I love that we all have unique tastes. I love it when we can accept each other’s differences too as opposed to trying to tell the other person they’re wrong. ❤️

 

I can take or leave that specific song. My 11 year old always wants me to turn up the volume really loud for it though. Haha

It's a play on that saying about how the only certain things in life are death and taxes.

There are various iterations of it attributed to different people and it's widely used in the arts.

 

(Mind you, not a native English speaker either but at this point it is my main language, so I'd say that's good enough!)

It’s saying that rain and tax are things in life that are bound to happen and you have to deal with, you can’t avoid it.. we have to have rain and we have to pay taxes...it’s certain

You’re spot on.

In life love is goona happen, it’s “Inevitable” which means a fo sure thing, they compare it to rain and taxes because those also two very sure things every human sees. It’s a beautiful catchy song imo.

I read someone yesterday complain because it was 7:51 and the show hadn't started yet. So that's two nights in a row it starts late.

 

what happened here? A bunch of fans went up to the stage during BYLM.

Can't tell if this is from Celine's official gift shop but if it is then it's the final setlist. I doubt we'll have any changes to the show (song wise).

I mean, I guess they could always just make new t-shirts lol, but...

Might be wrong but I'd have to go back and re-read my post from back then but when I met her in 2016 the show began at 7:50 and she legit walked into the meet and greet after 7:30 with over 30 people to get through so I think this thing with the show being late has been going on for a while. Again don't quote me on that I'd have to re-read my messages from back then

Thank you!! Makes sense haha :laugh: It's a weird comparison and concept to put on a song (taxes, hello?? :mdr: ) but still I love this music, it's so catchy! :in_love: And I'm glad it's another example of a song in this album that moves away and falls a bit out of place among her usual catalog of songs!

 

I recently discovered this remixed version and I loved it even more :wub:

Celine Dion will finally say farewell

 

For some people, it's hard to imagine Las Vegas without Celine Dion. The Canadian singer wraps up her "Celine" residency on June 8, following a run of more than seven years. Before that, her "A New Day" production ran between 2003 and 2007. That adds up to more than a thousand shows and about 4.5 million fans at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Even though the theater is also home to semi-regular acts like Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, and Reba McEntire with Brooks & Dunn, it may be just a matter of time before another long-term signature star is signed up to fill the void.

 

At some point, Las Vegas should consider renaming "The Strip" "Celine Dion Avenue" :giggle:

Kidding, but renaming one of the streets with the name of the artist who gave life again to this city would be fitting. :wub:

Celine and René gamble gave birth to the biggest musical scene change of this century (yet). Who would have bet on LV in 2002?

Of course, the new hip and young crowd does not come to see Céline (or only her), but without A New Day, there would have been no Britney, no Gaga, no Calvin Harris residencies.

 

One thing missing: that Céline records a song about Las Vegas. Then the circle would come to an end ^_^

Wow, indeed a very enthusiastic crowd!! So they have cancelled the curtain drop thing at the beginning now? I like this change, cuz I somehow feel the curtain drop didn't work well with TPOL.

Actually there has been no curtain drop since like the second or third show back. And i couldn't agree more. That curtain drop is a little bit awkward

I’m excited to make a trip to Vegas in May to give one last goodbye to this show. (Well a couple of times in a weeks period). After first seeing it in 2011 and seeing it 18 times in between, it’s going to be a bittersweet moment but I can’t wait for Celine to take on new things and bring us this much anticipated new album.

 

Any other fans in Vegas 20th-28th May?
