Holborn Posted January 4, 2019 at 05:22 PM Posted January 4, 2019 at 05:22 PM does anybody know what this says, its from one of the French Mag At the dawn of her 50s, Celine Dion is more radiant than ever! Boss of her own destiny, fashion icon and uncontested showgirl, the Diva attracts all eyes on her and collects the success. With a new force, Celine quietly takes control of her career after the death of her beloved Rene. After having the support of Aldo Giampaolo in the beginning, the manager Rene had found to succeed him, the singer has been flying on her own since his departure in the spring. "If i feel more free today, it's because i am. I have always participated in the process of creation, but at the same time i was often told what to do. Rene was super protective", she said this summer during her visit in Montreal. There is no doubt, that she holds the reins now. "Now, we all sit down together, whether it is to discuss about the show, the disc, the handbags or the children at home. To put it simply, i am the boss!" Far from weighting her down, the new responsibilities seem to lighten the life of Celine, who is animated by an aura of joyous strength. This cordiality/friendliness is also depicted in the way she dresses, both in her daily life and in her public appearances. Guided by the stylist Law Roach, Celine has become a fashion icon worldwide. The reputable magazine Vanity Fair also highlights her transformation by interviewing her stylist, who seems to have a lot of fun with his client. "Celine is not afraid of anything. And when you have this kind of energy, you have the attitude of being able to do whatever you want, no matter who likes it or dislikes it", says Roach. It is not surprising that with this love for fashion, Celine has created a line of 200 bags and accessories that everyone wants to get their hands on. ALWAYS ON TOPRated by the Forbes magazine as the fourth best-paid singer in the world, having a profit of $54 millions last year, Celine continues to be a model of success. With a fortune estimated at $545 millions, the mother of the family could retire from the scene, but now, she feels more pleasure than ever to take the microphone, because she has no obligation to do it. "I can be wrong, i can restart, i can take risks, because i have nothing to lose. Because i have better, i have my children. I lost my husband physically, but my husband lives in me. I still live with him", she confided to Joselito Michaud in Celine, au-dela du reve. And if some people see her as an inaccessible superstar, on the contrary, the singer claims to have finally touch the ground, after years of living with her head in the clouds. "Today, i have my feet on the ground. I feel the vibrations, i feel the things, and that's why i'm able to live them and make choices." Among these choices, Celine continues to be socially involved. Godmother of the CHU Saint-Justine and the Cystic Fibrosis Canada, she also helps all kinds of organizations who are dedicated to help children through her own foundation. I think that's about it. Hope i didn't misinterpret something. 7 Quote

Dion2000 Posted January 5, 2019 at 02:55 AM Posted January 5, 2019 at 02:55 AM Yeah.... ummmm. The Britney thing is extremely suspicious because she only announced this situation about leaving the show behind after there were multiple media outlets (including confirmation from her ticket sellers) that sales were tanking. Its been all over twitter for 2 days now, about how shes barely sold 50% of the entire run. And then all of a sudden she has a family issue.... I do feel genuinely bad for her though as her father has been ill before, and wish her family all the best. however i do find it suspicious as she waited until now, never announcing issues with her father at all. Kristinaz Posted January 5, 2019 at 03:36 AM Posted January 5, 2019 at 03:36 AM I don't think Park MGM would allow her to just pull the entire show just like that because of low ticket sales. It's too much of a risk. Plus Park MGM confirmed despite the original statement from Britney it is not canceled just postponed. Her choreographer said she could be gone for 6 months to a year and I have heard a rumour her father has colon cancer. Again we don't know so I'd hate to spread false info but whatever it is having followed Britney since I was 7 I know she wouldn't do this and she would never use her father as an excuse unless it was serious. He saved her life she wouldn't do this unless it was true. I'm thinking it's one of two things. They didn't tell her right away and when she found out lost it or it wasn't initially that bad and suddenly he took a turn for the worse. Her sister also filmed from the cemetery a little while back showing her daughter Spears' headstones. So bit interesting there. I do know she was rehearsing and her dancers didn't even know till today what had happened. But perhaps she tried to pull through despite everything going on but couldn't focus so she finally told Park MGM she needed time she needed to be with her family. I mean let us not forget how Celine felt. Could be a similar situation for Britney. 3 Quote

Wouldn't say it's "extremely" suspicious, but it could've made deciding to pull the plug (or postponing) a little bit easier. Quote

Totally agreeeeeeeee I love this song. I too hope that at least it will be included in the future (sigh) North American tour Really one of her few hits that she has not been singing for ages. Knowing that she has had not that many top 5 (or even top 10) hits in the charts for a star of her magnitude, it is surprising this song has not been part of her repertoire since the FIY tour. Javito Posted January 5, 2019 at 01:20 PM Posted January 5, 2019 at 01:20 PM If You Asked Me To??? It may work in a show for the US, but outside the US... nobody knows that song I'm afraid It's not even linked to Celine as a "Celine Dion song" outside the US sorry. Not to mention how dated this song sounds now, this particular song comes soooo from the early 90s typical sound for ballads, unlike others of her catalog which have stood the test of time. There are way better songs and hits to resurrect imo... Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

There are way better songs and hits to resurrect imo... I think the early 90s sort of ballad sound is trendy again. It’s been so long move that these songs have a retro, sexy appeal again. Celine, Whitney, and Mariah were the Queens of these kinds of songs and the public respects that. This repertoire is part of what makes Celine Celine and it’s nostalgic in the absolute best way! Honestly some of her early 2000s songs (Rain, Tax and Superlove for instance) sound far more dated and out of place when it comes to her iconic catalogue. The early 90s sound is epic and Celine should embrace that she is the queen of that era! Not to mention this new generation is loving our Queen for being so quirky and true to who she is — and they love her early 90s vibe because they don’t remember it like so many of us do! 🤣 Edited January 5, 2019 at 07:39 PM by smw 2 Quote
Javito Posted January 5, 2019 at 07:21 PM Posted January 5, 2019 at 07:21 PM (edited) I get what you say, and I'm all for nostalgic mode when it comes to music and good songs and albums lol, but IYAMT just didn't work outside the US... I'd rather have her singing Nothing Broken But My Heart or Water From The Moon (from the same album) than IYAMT really (which btw is another cover on her shoulders but I don't want to open that can of worms again). And about Rain, Tax... that's a funky song with an infectious sound that the liking depends on the listener. To me, it's a unique sound in her vast catalog loaded with ballads and slow-tempo songs so I appreciate the track even today... And Super Love, I don't think it has aged a bit!
