In response to the JLo comment about not seeing her face if you are not close to the stage... Well with JLo the last thing you see from far away is her face... Other body parts are screaming "Look at me!"

Does she really like it? I think it's more like an interlude in.the show for her.

I would looooove to have her opinion about it.

When she talks about being bored to sing some songs she always talk about MHWGO...but this one is the oldest one.

 

Oh wait, she doesn't do interviews anymore. I guess we ll never know.

 

And beside the fact I hate this song, I would love to hear the version she did with a real choir in Africa in 2008. I've never found it. Its picture is even a the cover of the bundle cd + dvd or whatever of the tour.

The massive stage and massive screen were used specifically for that show. It was far too huge and impractical / not fit for other artists so it makes sense when that show finished the stage was smaller and so was the screen. When Celine came back on a far smaller show scale and whilst others were still doing shows at the same time, they cant rebuild a massive stage for a show that wouldnt fit the stage size. Elton for example, they shortened the stage because it was impractical for his show and they knew celine on her return wouldnt need such a massive stage either

Was it stated that they removed the screen?? Maybe they’re just using it differently...I can’t imagine them getting rid of the screen. It was one of the main attractions for the colosseum as a venue in general.

The “raked stage” was removed for Bette Midler, not Elton John. Its removal was the first bit of advice Celine gave Bette when Bette was venturing out to try her hand at a Vegas residency after Celine’s “A New Day...” concluded.

Don’t you consider the cost for that big screen? Why had a big stage if then covered with curtain? That’s why they reduce the size of the screen and the stage. Smaller stage means bigger space for seats.

Oh i forgot if you put a big curtain in the middle it will block the big led screen.. then, stay it that way with a big stage. Not everynight is sold out anyway. They can just add another date.

 

If they want a smaller stage. Use the lightings half of the stage is black then half of it has lights (watch a new day [the links that i posted here fan cam] you can see what i am talking about)

 

Bigger stage, more props, big space

(It’s better to have big stage for big props like elton’s show)

 

And the matte silver/gray stage is better than shiny black stage. It’s good for lightings and graphic lightings see A new day stage

No it's the same screen, they just "divided" it in 2, coz of that large ramp (where a few of the string section used to stand during RDMH)..

It's like Céline is the boss. If Céline wanted a huge stage.. it will stay that way but if she wants a smaller stage.. sorry for the other artists/residents who wants to have a show like A New Day..

 

And It has nothing to do with the raked stage to have a vivid color of the lightings on the stage.. It's the color of the stage.. It should be matte silver stage not shiny black stage.

 

They can be creative like Franco Dragone.. Use the lightings.. the orchestra is moving actually the platform they standing at. They can do anything with a huge stage.

 

Darker lightings for the space that they will not need like this..

And in the second half of the song or before the bridge they would swich to the current ocean scenery and keep the waterfall. That would be amazing! Gosh, this collosseum offers so many visual options, and she uses such a minimalistic approch for her show. Such a shame... they should use the full potential of that place, like they did with AND. That show was breathtaking!

It’s pro. The one who made it is a stage designer from brazil. Maybe he thought they will not change the ICONIC big stage of the colosseum yeah ICONIC my goodness! lol that big stage made it look better like it’s meant to be there like it’s part of the design of the colosseum then they’ll change it into smaller shiny black staaaage. It’s so limited. Look at those stage concepts. It’s so beautiful. You can’t do that with small stage lol

And I’ve noticed that in A New Day... they’re using darker lightings maybe that’s why it looks great when filming unlike now too many lights it looks washed out because of many lights. It’s too bright
