Whether or not people are allowed to own guns does not matter. Someone who wants to commit a crime, murder, terrorism....they will always be able to get a gun. As for the amount of guns......doesn't matter. It only takes one. I know many people who have much larger collections than this. They are not out shooting people on the street or elsewhere. Guns are not the problem.....people are.

 

Excuse me, but no. There's only so much guns you can carry with you, and into a building like an hotel, and this guy not only had guns, but rifles and machine guns with himself. I assure you that were this man had been in a hotel in Europe, he wouldn't have gone too far with such arsenal of weapons with himself, let alone to do a check-in in a hotel with such large items without having been checked way before that.

 

Free disposal of weapons in the US must stop!

If she is going to sing a song tonight to dedicate it to all of this...for me it would have to be "imagine"...

 

As I agree that "recovery" would not do this justice... it's to fresh & raw for those lyrics for many.

I feel like Celine knows she must do something special tonight.... I know she already will..... she always does...

 

I just hope she chooses something that everyone can relate to! Imagine would be perfect as others have said!

Unfortunately these guns can come apart and just be placed in a suitcase, out of sight and out of mind to those who are just looking at a man check into a hotel. It's horrifying.

I'm hoping someone gets tonight's concert in full, i know she will have to address this in her speech tonight. This isn't just a city for Celine its her home, her childrens home, I bet this has really shocken her up, all of this happend less than a mile away from The Colosseum. I'm sure " Recovering" will have a new meaning tonight. So sad :(

I really also hope we can hear tonight's show in full somehow. I know, I think she will address this is in her opening speech. I know this must have reeeeeally shaken her up, yes, and oh, definitely, Recovering will have a new meaning for sure. I think those of you expecting her to do a new song for this will be disappointed, sorry. If she does, I'll be surprised and totally delighted. But if not, I know she will make tonight be the best she can!

Iwill type it for you...but please stop calling yourself a dumb blind person. It breaks my heart every time I hear you say that.

 

You know there was a young woman at Celine's shows both nights I was there this weekend. She was wheelchair bound. Paralyzed and missing a leg even. On Saturday night I had tears in my eyes as I witnessed two of Celine's ushers/bodyguards literally lift her up and carry her to the front of the stage during the mosh pit. They held her there so that she could experience and fulfill a dream she would have otherwise thought impossible. These two men literally had sweat dripping from their foreheads because she was becoming heavy, but they weren't letting up. I gave these men a thumbs up and wanted to find them after the show to thank them for restoring my faith in humanity. I wanted them to understand how touched I was by what they did, but unfortunately couldn't find them afterwards.

 

All fans are deserving of Celine...I don't care what your handicap or disability is. And Celine of course loved on her with kisses and high fives. It was a beautiful thing to witness.

 

Will type up the program page in a few minutes. :)

Wow. No way. That is, ... wow. Unheard of almost. That people would put themselves out like that for someone else. And I'm sorry, but that lady's dream would have been utterly impossible without help. And wow, Celine actually has time for disabled f-ups like me? Wow. I wish more "sighted" people were like her. That makes me so utterly happy and longing at the same time to have a moment like that. And very cool to finally know your name. My roommate's name is Alicia but she pronounces it the Hispanic way. So I doubt I'll forget your name anytime soon. lol Thank you for telling that story. Hearing things like that restores my faith that just maybe, possibly, it could one day happen, and that she really takes a sec for people she can see need/deserve it. And yeah, talk about restoring faith in humanity. lol No kidding. Thank you also for typing up the first page of the program, that is truly powerful. Cannot thank you enough! It really was amazing and inspiring to witness...they were so happy to be helping her. With so much hate in the world these days, I was just completely overwhelmed with the moment of kindness. Sweat dripping from these men's foreheads, but they kept big smiles on their faces the entire time.

 

I know it gets harder and harder to find, but there is still kindness in the world. That's why I was really hoping to speak to these two security guards and thank them. I wanted them to know how much their actions had impacted me as well.

 

And this is why I think we all adore Celine so much - her heart is about as big as you can get. :wub:

My friend's parents were in Vegas during the shooting right down the street from the shooting so my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by this shooting and knows people who went to the concert!!

Last few from me cause I am going to have to sign off early tonight. Need to get as much sleep as possible tonight because I know tomorrow is going to be pure chaos at my house as it is the night before we leave for a trip. So proud to be a Celine fan. You can tell she's as emotional about this as many of us are...

That is Celine.. her wise words, commitment, strength and love shine so through. She is not only one of the most gifted singers but above all such a wonderful person!

Great recording and thank you for sharing!

What i did notice was the lack of audience noise. There you get think twice performed in front of you and no yelling no screams..nothing. Okay i get it was not a hit in the US but still.. In this video the orchestra was very nice to hear and sounded impressive.

Wish a friend and a fan that attended last night's show could post his review here, but he's not a member. It was the first Vegas show he attended and he was totally disappointed with it (and he just saw Céline in July in London and was completely blown away with the tour!).

 

He described the Vegas ambience and the show as "plastic", compared to her tours. No excitement, everything so scripted. Céline looked bored and on autopilot mode. Audience is dead. Speeches sound forced and bored because of the cents of times she has repeated them, same as the songs. He told Céline doesn't even care for the audience seated beyond the 3rd-4th row in the building.

 

It's true that maybe last night's show wasn't the best mood for Céline or the public, it musn't had been an easy show to do, but it's no less truth that each time more and more people attending the show says that it's "boring" or lacks more dinamism. It's clearly not A New Day, nor the enthusiasm and energy we get during a tour. She needs to change that soon.

 

All in all he even told us that as a fan, it's not a show he would go to see, he'd rather spend money on seeing her on tour (his boyfriend gave him tickets as a surprise present). That says it all.

 

Again, wish he would come here to write his opinion with his own words. But it shows I'm not that mad with the Vegas thing lol. All the perceptions and feelings I get watching the videos since 2003 are similar to what you get in there, so when I thought I don't like a show because of what I see, there's a basis and a reason which is confirmed in reality by the public when they see it. It's an okay show, but nothing to rave about, and this fan is as enthusiast as the next best girl in the audience who stands up and dances and sings and screams when everyone is quiet lol

 

Vegas shows must come to an end soon. It's been enough time doing the same shows and doing the same thing, restraining yourself from doing other projects you want to do, like it has happened with Céline since 2003. Otherwise, Céline's voice and enthusiasm singing there will sound as fake as the Colosseum walls and ornaments :down:

 

Who knows what crazy amount of money has Caesars Palace paid her in 2011 to have her back in Vegas, when she clearly thought that had come to an end in 2007.

 

Sorry for this depressing post haha. I don't want to convince anyone who likes the show or wants to see it, to do the contrary! I just want to share a review and an opinion I had without having seen the show, that it's then confirmed by fans when they attend the show and see it, and they feel sad because they think Céline needs to move on and do other things! It's been a long time she's there postponing and cancelling other projects because of Vegas.
