Please forgive me for no updates we got a call that my grandfather couldn't breathe so we ran over. Thank God he is fine he had just gone into a severe panic attack due to stress. My grandfather has problems with his health lately and also deals with depression so yeah that was prob the trigger. I will get to the updates now

Im sorry but absolutely none of that is possible in the Vegas show.

 

The audience at the billboards literally made the entire performance. Had it of been a huge snooze fest typical Vegas audience we wouldn't even be discussing the performance.

 

It's the nature of singing in Vegas vs singing at an awards show.

 

But I would not at all suggest that the Vegas shows can "learn by example" from this performance.

I can't imagine her wearing anything else during MHWGO! I realise somewhen she'll have to let it go, but I (surprisingly enough) enjoy her playing with the wings of the dress, especially going up on the elevator. It also matches the excellent screen footage perfectly

Yes, for sure.

 

I have enjoyed these costumes. But their times has passed.

 

The Vegas show just a needs a few tweaks:

 

-Higher quality / more exciting INTRO video

-New costumes --- no excuse to not change these out for every other leg of the show, at least

-At least ONE section of the concert should have songs that she can change up frequently. A medley of hits / Celine songs that she loves to sing. This should obviously come during the not-so-great acoustic section of the show when the curtain is closed. I'd just tinkle myself if she sang IF YOU ASKED ME TO or THINK TWICE, for instance.

-A touch more spectacle. I want Celine on more rising platforms! That was my favorite part of the glitzy James Bond medley. When we lost that section, we lost some of the show's big spectacle.

-Highlight her French / international career more with a little more career-focused banter and AT LEAST ONE of her Iconic French hits

-After the show closes out with THE SHOW MUST GO ON, she should sing a simple beautiful song with little or no music behind her, like OVER THE RAINBOW or WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

 

And my personal opinion is MHWGO should be a tad bit later and she should wear a beautiful, flowing WHITE GOWN that would work beautifully with the water feature.

Also, wouldn't it be fabulous if she did another one of her amazingly huge vocal songs like I CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if some of it were lipped. She'd still give us the stage presence and we could watch the audience melt.

It's still a wonderful show as is. But it could be freshened up for us hardcore fans who are obsessed with watching all the clips night after night.

I agree with almost every part of SMW's post. The one and only part I disagree with is that the acoustic part is one of my most favorite parts. I so so highly agree, more french music and more focus on her career. I also LOVE the idea of her having songs she can change up every so often. Also, if you don't like the acoustic medley, what about having acoustic piano songs instead of acoustic guitar songs? Kinda like how L'amour Existe Encore was all acoustic piano/strings last year, what if they either found, or made, some of her English songs be acoustic like that? Like, for instance, if she could bring back Calling You. OMG I would love that. Some shortened form of that could be an acoustic piano song. They could maybe add to that, no other songs are coming to mind right now but that doesn't mean they won't. Oh wa,t no, I Know What Love Is could be done acoustically on piano. OMG I would DIE if she ever did that song in any form. I also do agree My heart will go on could be done later. And OMG do I ever soooooo agree about her ending with a song with little, or preferably no, instrumentation like she did with over the rainbow. I miss that sooooo much. I get why she wants to end it like she does now, but having her voice a capella the last thing we heard...it gives us something to really go out on, in my humble opinion of course. I do agree the show is amazing as is but I do think most of the changes you suggested are wonderful!!!!!

The best bit about the acoustic is the song selection - TTWII and ANDHC in particular are on my all time list. All three are her more upbeat numbers though and she chooses to slow the beats down to this awkward clap speed and it's a miss. But the songs are awesome.

 

I would love to see Titanic film scenes play during MHWGO like at the BBMA - it's the greatest film song pairing so would be great to have that as a wow moment... and without a shadow of a doubt she needs to open with The Power of Love and have the curtain drop with "coz I'm your laaaaaaadyyyyy" - that would have even the non-fans excited. I Surrender is an EPIC song but could be a moment in the show.

 

Now I'm rambling like Celine in a talking section but the reverence in which she was held at the BBMAs almost like she's the Meryl Streep of singing (I read that somewhere) - so nice to see! She has the artistry and talent to make a CRACKER English album now.

Exactly -- that was one part I forgot to put into my previous post. Opening with THE POWER OF LOVE would be perfect. Still my favorite Celine concert opener -- back in the FALLING INTO YOU days -- and it just seems like it's perfectly made to be the Vegas opener with the curtain drop.

 

And I LOVE that someone called her the Meryl Streep of music.

 

Celine's years of keeping it CLASSY are paying off in a BIG WAY.
