I sat next to Ramona and her daughter during opening night front froenin Boston for the Taking Chances Tour. They were both more than kind and fun to be around. But obviously this was 10 years ago....

I know we've been through the whole lipping scenario a thousand times. But can someone who is 100% sure tell me exactly when and where all the lipping starts at each song? Thanks

I know we've been through the whole lipping scenario a thousand times. But can someone who is 100% sure tell me exactly when and where all the lipping starts at each song? Thanks

 

I SURRENDER since 1 chorus until end

WDMHBN full song except final line

BYLM full song except final line with audience

IACBTMN/POL full medley

ABM high note and final line

MHWGO last verse

SMGO last verse since "My soul..." until end

I don't think she lip sings I Surrender because I was at the concert on Tuesday and she did not seem like she was lipping!! I think she's just that good!! Don't under estimate her abilities :-) also recordings sound worse than the actual concert does in person!

It's quite obvious, dude. Lol. I don't underestimate her abilities, i am stating an observable fact. She has been lipsynching to a badly-recorded playback. Go listen to videos of i surrender on youtube and you will find that they all sound the same. But i digress. My issue is not that she uses playback. It's the playback track per se.

She does in fact lip sync it. If you want to see how it is performed live, the August 29, 2015 was without playback. :)

Yup, was just gonna say that! The second night after she came back with the new show, the track didn't start and she sang the song 100% live. She changed a bunch up and didn't sing some parts (like the long "I surrender alllllllll" going into the final chorus), although the ad-libs she did during the final chorus for "a thousand dreams I still believe" are some of my favourite ever. :)

 

I believe that's the one and only time the song has ever been performed by Céline fully live, since most of it was lipped during "A new day" as well.

My guess is that the sound manager said something into in her in ears right before it should've started and mentioned a technical glitch or something.

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

That's exactly what happened... she was also slightly behind the music for the curtain drop.

I had to laugh when security escorted out the 2nd fan near the end of the video. Bless him he used t wanted a picture.

 

I hate her now she's rude and arrogant! I was horrified at how she acted I was trying to get a selfie and she had the nerve to get mad at me because my hand accidentally got in her face!! Omg she missed 2 seconds of Celine oh no well she's going tomorrow so she can get her Celine fix tomorrow!! Be careful with her she's very all about her!!

I met Ramona back in 2008 and I can say that she is a sweet and genuine person. If you show her some kindness she will return it. It's quite possible she may have been having a bad day and while I understand getting excited at a Celine concert (I think we all do) if you get in someone's personal space, even if by accident, I can see them being annoyed. Ramona is generous and I have seen her do things for others as she known it will make them happy.

I, too, could not understand this at first. But after listening to many of the records from the show, I heard a deep breath in front of the phrase "Cause I'd surrender ..." I think this is the signal.

 

I love Celine so much! These songs inspire me and I love it😍 It's not important for me lipsync or not! It's very interesting!

 

And I think that sometimes lipsync is better than those moments when Celine could not take a note and bypassed difficult moments. Remember MHWGO in September 2016.

TBH that night was just crazy! I mean all the fans were being pushed around and it wasn't fun not being able to move!! I could barely turn around because people were so eager to get to the front! It made me mad and I think it made Ramona mad too so maybe everyone felt that way! I don't know but I didn't mean to do that to Ramona but I figured that she wouldn't have given me a dirty look because I didn't have any intentions on doing that to her!

I never cared about the lipsynch thing the least since I'm a fan, never ever gave a damn about it and if she used it a bit in a certain song it was okay for me. But now seeing more and more fans each time saying that this and that song, and what's worst, full parts of many songs already, that's not funny now :ermm:

 

I'm not the kind of fan that notices when she uses playback, I never had an ear for that and I can't conceive the idea of being in a concert and spend the time paying attention to when the playback comes in and out :ermm: But the sole idea that Céline is using it for half the songs or even more, it's not really encouraging guys. How come they can charge the prices she asks for tickets and do half a playback concert? Aren't we exaggerating here?

 

If the use of playback and Céline is that extended and accurate, I really hope she considers to slow down her performing activity and delivers real LIVE concerts, few in quantity, but authentic in quality :wacko: I can't think of her expecting audiences to pay great sums of money to see her and then fake the thing?! :unsure:

You're right! But when I first went to a concert in Paris in 2013 as a fan I certainly knew about lipsync but it was not important! I saw Céline from the first row felt its energy and love for the fans! And only this is important! I was happy to realize my dream. I was traveling from Russia and the trip was very expensive. But I'm ready for it again. Of course at the concert do not have to dig where lipsync where live. But listening to many records from Vegas, this becomes clear by itself!
