Will this be on her new English album? I don't even have the desire to listen to this cover, we heard it many times since she's been singing it in her concerts. I'd prefer an original song to be released like Encore un soir for her French album. :wub:

Feeling Productions doesn't own that live performance, Dick Clark Productions does. So even if they do release it, they still have to negotiate since it doesn't belong to them.

 

As for the single, It's a pure marketing experiment. I also think it was an experiement by her marketing team to see if releasing singles sans album can work for her, and they did. They didn't invest much as this was definately an experiment, but when she is ready to record English songs, rest assured, I think the staggered single releases with increased promo before the album actually gets released will be in the future

 

Also, if you look at the history of the last album release, I think they tried to do something similar by promoting different songs on the album on different talkshows, to highlight the diversity of the album, with LMBTL the centre of the campaign. the thing they failed to do that is needed now is to release the single early before the promotion. in this highly fragmented and on-demand marketplace, the single needs to be available before the promo starts, and it needs to get promoted and released months in advance of a new album in order for it to cause any traction.

i think it makes sense.. :)

Oh the misery and negativity surrounding the studio version is nauseating. Get over it and be grateful for new Céline music. It's no 23 in France! I love the version and actually think the studio version is deliberately simple so as not to sound totally over-produced. The live version is better suited to live audiences, not radio nor on an album. There! I've said it, now I await the backlash .....

Well guys, I downloaded this song a week ago to support our girl but hadn't quite plucked up the courage to listen to it after all the negativity on here for the studio version BUT I gotta say I really like it. I don't understand why everyone thought the vocals were made up from live versions as you can definitely here that it's a clear studio vocal and her pronunciation is so much more polished. I love this song anyway as I've always been a big Queen fan and I'm happy with the version as it puts her own take on it. The scream seems a little out of place but it's not as much as a karaoke version as the way she tends to sing it live.

The only US chart where "The Show Must Go On" charted is Pop Digital Songs. Celine debuted there at #45. Edited by max24

I hate to say this but, I haven't bought this song yet. I've been listening to it on her VEVO trying to get used to the scream before I buy it but, I can't. :(

Same here. Encore un Soir is so much better! Only when they release the vegas billboard version i will buy it. Not this one..

I've become quite happy with the scream... Reminds me of Alone!! Me and my BF do the scream in the car when on full blast!!! It's a great stress release :P try it!!

I physically can't even listen to this version whatsoever. I wonder when this version was recorded and when the prerecorded BBMA's was recorded because it's just a vast difference not only in production, but her voice. The prerecorded live version she was in full voice, barely any nasality, and the high notes were spot on! C'est la vie

It is one of the biggest radio stations in Lebanon.
