Well I believe you cannot compare sales in 2003 and 2005 and those in 2016: you needed to sell respectively 250k and 200k to get Gold certifications contrary to 75k now. With her current sales of 25k it would be equivalent to 75k of the time with only 8 weeks contrary to a full chart run.

 

As regards PAMP, it may have a long chart run (which you cannot compare to EUS which is just 8 week old lol), but with lower positions. It peaked at #8 and stayed only one week in the top 10. EUS was 2 weeks #1 and has spent its 8 first weeks in top 10. So chart wise it is doing much better.

I agree with PAMP. And I agree single sales are much lower now. But I still think that selling 25k now is quite below the sales of 165k back in 2005!

 

If it ends up selling like 80k or more, then I'll put it up there with TLDO and JNVOP.

Something I haven't even thought about with the tonight show and today show performances of the song AND the release of this in the usa (which is already more than we could really have hoped for), is that the video hasn't been released yet. This makes me believe, with all this promotion and stuff, that we might even get the video Friday as well! Obviously it might be too good to be true, but it is a possibility since we know it was filmed a little while ago and with this up-tick of promotion happening it might be the best time to do it. I know my heights are set high in hoping and thinking this, but it isn't too far-fetched based on what we have been seeing lately right? And even if it isn't released this Friday, it can't be too far away from being released right?
