Easy solution don't read the comments! People can be cruel

ithink the comments are always bad maybe just wheb you begin and are a darling, but even Jennifer Lawrence begins to suffer from it. Where all those angry people live?

Ugh. It really hurts to read comments like "this is theatre... like everything in her life".

How can people possibly hate on Celine right now?!!!

I saw comments like that too elsewhere and find it predictable and sad. I was watching the 1999 interview with Larry King the other night and she said she never read or listened to any comments or gossip and I hope that still holds true. I think this ritual is true to French Canadian culture and natural to her and Rene. It would not be second nature to me because my traditions and personality are different. But I cannot see how anyone could see her now and doubt her sincerity and love for Rene and all of those people.

People are touching Rene. So many care

Anyone know what that black box thing is in the casket where Rene's legs are?

by doing it, she shares with every fans, even those who are not there. It is a first but they were unic. It is very touching. Let the critics go, just unhappy people.

This is soooo hard to watch. I am so proud of Celine doing this... I can't even imagine how difficult this is!

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

If she stays until 11 PM that would 10 hours of greeting people.

She may just want to stay there.

I haven't been able to watch. I appreciate reading the posts here.

The few pictures I have seen have been heartbreaking.

This entire situation is almost too much.

The entire family's strength is unbelievable. I pray and hope this is a comfort for them in times to come. They have all gone above and beyond for Rene.

My god... the line is indeed endless. I wanted to go today, but finally I didn't. If I ever got the chance to meet her one day, I would prefer on other circumstances. It is too sad. Of course, I would like to hug her and tell her I love her so much, but I feel she met too many people today. It seems so hard for her. I just can't.

I love her. :(

The streaming is so painful to watch.

Poor Celine. I can't stand watching her in tears all day long.

It appears the line may finally be ending. That, or they are letting people into the church in groups and there is a gap at the end of the current one.

I think I see the end of the line.

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I just saw an end to the line near a camera/cameraman. It's difficult to tell if that is truly the end of the line, or just an end for that group before the next one is allowed in.

Are they letting more people in?! More people just walked by the table and picked up the cards.

It appears that was not the end of the entire line, but just the end of the line of that group. More people keep coming inside the church.

JP was the last forum member I saw.

It was JP that I saw. Good to see him there paying his respects. He did us proud.

I don't know about this public announcement about the global live stream...bit of a double-edged sword.

While all of us here appreciate it an it's done with the best of intentions, I can already see the backlash. There's already some anger over this being a state / national funeral, and commentary to the effect of "will this woman stop at nothing for publicity". Unbelievably, some seem to think that's what this is about.

On the other hand, she's getting such love for this. What a display of devotion and respect - for Rene, and for the people who took the time to line up in the bitter cold.

One of my favourite tweets read something like "Celine gives a master class in celebrity grace and gratitude".

Beautifully said.

Love to her.

That was my point about making this public..... the idiots out there just having to make a comment.....smh.
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

So thankful for the live stream, as hard as it may be to watch, it allows all of her fans to be there for her virtually and send love and prayers to her and the rest of the family. I also just love the fact that Michel has been at her side all day to support his sister.

Is she the first artist in the history of mankind to welcome all of her fans to such an intimate moment and greet each one of them?

I hope media make echo of that too!

The women is amazing! She greets everyone that came and she will have been there for over 10 hours when it's over.

She looks everyone in their eyes and if by chance she missed someone I've seen her wave goodbye from afar. It's incredible

yes but because it is the artist who attracts the people, René was just special. :) But in the end, i think it will help her, because she does what must be done following what they have always done in the past. They do things their own way, René is still there.

I wonder why they are thinning the line? I wonder if the line is about done or if they want her to leave soon?

I've never seen a celebrity so sincerely greet so many people in any circumstance. That includes Taylor Swift who seems nice enough.

For me, Celine elevated herself above all others in terms of class and being genuine. She's the real deal.

Just when I thought there was nothing else she could do to elevate herself more.
