Celine will appear on Michael Buble's Christmas in Hollywood Special

Celine sounded phenomenal - the training is working. :clap:

She needs to return to delivering knockout vocals - coz lets face it, very few can pull it off these days.

 

Would love for her to have through in some killer notes. runs - 90s era. :whee:

Even the Sinatra tribute was a little more on the somber/ understated side - for Celine that is.

 

I thought the staging was very underwhelming and not very Christmas like.

Would love to have seen the orchestra, a tree, tinsel...anything. :confused1:

 

Also felt that her outfits missed the mark - although she did look gorgeous in the white dress. :w00t:

Her hair was a bit disheveled, like she just finished the Vegas show and followed up with the 2 songs.

She's been rocking a lot of b/w, which is classic but can be bland.

Christmas needs to have more colour and joy.

 

The worst part was that it seemed that she was sad after both performances. :cry1:

I guess it hit home too hard - I've read so many articles about this being Rene's last Xmas.

This woman has amazing strength. :showoff:

This was a great promo/ marketing opportunity. The new manager is making some smart choices. :drinks:

She needs a little more refining before she returns to form - when all the elements come together.

But I'll take any Celine I can get. :rockinbanana:

Training? What training are you talking about. Lol. I think you're way too discriminating and hard on her, if you're not satisfied with her two performances. :shock: Some fans just can't be satisfied.

Yesterday night, last time I checked TAST was #72 on iTunes Canada. I came back home today and it was #31. I don't know if it's the highest it went but the Michael Bublé Special clearly had an effect on sales of the album!! :)

The only people predicting this is Rene's last Christmas are tabloids. And people keep re-reading it because people keep printing the same statement from the same tabloid. Tabloids also once predicted that Hillary Clinton had an affair with an alien and that a titanic baby was found alive decades later in the water and the same age. So credibility factor on any tabloid is like a zero.

 

 

She said he is stable and working hard, Aldo said he is working hard and is able to have small outings now and has shown a lot of improvement since last year.

 

Like they have said, they are focusing on the day they have, which is today. They are choosing to be strong and stay positive.

 

As for the special:

Both songs are Christmas favorites and I am happy she had time to participate in the special, and glad those songs were chosen.

Search Celine on google and you'll see she's been seeing a coach. Since when has she? For years. Even the most of professional singers have coaches.

I do love Aldo's management as well. I wish he had replaced Rene years ago. Rene had lost touch with the industry and should have stepped down at least 10 years ago. Its a pity its sickness why he was forced to step down.

He should have been enjoying his senior years and just enjoying the fruits of his labor when he master minded Celine's brilliant career since age 12.

I'm happy she changed coaches. I hope the coach is aware and working on her habit when she is tired or lazy and just nasalizes the high notes instead of trying to reach the note correctly.

I hope the coach is not just there to walk her through the daily routine but I hope they correct her when she gets nasal.

1. The media needs to lay off this "last Christmas" story.

It's heartless, based on one shady tabloid, and - whether it be true or not - it's not their place to say. And now, with all these stories regurgitating that one Closer article, I'm starting to see comments like "she's milking this". SHE's milking this?! That's the most ridiculous thing to say. The media certainly is though. It makes for good clickbait. So low, so sad, so unnecessary. Makes me sick.

 

 

2. The O Holy Night performance was beautiful, but certainly too short. The duet - meh, not too keen on the treatment. But I'll take Céline and Bublé together any day.

 

3. Love the Bublé. I don't think he's overrated at all. But I like him much more before he hit it big and sang more straight-ahead jazz. (But then I might be biased since some of my friends played on his early albums...)

 

4. There's undeniable sadness in Céline's performances here. Poor thing, i just want to give her a hug. I know she's got her fervent haters but honestly, how can anyone hate on Céline right now? It's like kicking a puppy...

It's funny because when I was listening the start of Oh Holy Night I was like "oh no! I can't believe she's going to playback that song from 1998" I was kind of scare, but then I realized it was live and sounded amazing! Lol... I guess it was just a "fan" moment lol

 

When he said she was singing o holy night my first thought was "oh great" she may as well have sung the christmas song cuz at least that would be live and then the first word I was like uhhhh OMG!!!!!. I was literally flipping out like I hadn't since I surrender on the 29th of august, I was having a total moment with that too!! I was shaking LOL
