I kinda thought the Law and Order beginning was hilarious. Also, some new things I noticed from this time...I loved the percussion changes in Terre. I thought in Tous Les Secrets that the back up singers were almost just a teeny tiny bit too loud/overpowering, however, the harmonies were exquisite. i loved hearing Le Vole D'un ange for the first time, she has never done that live. I feel like she did several songs live for the very first time ever. I liked last night how she thanked the writer of ordinaire! She always thinks of people and does things like that. I loved the new things instrumentally in Je Crois Toi too. I think it would have worked better right before/leading up to/as a precursor to the acoustic section, but it was neat where it was as well. I felt that, for the most part, every French album was well represented with at least one song from every album but Incognito which I don't think got any recognition or notice but hey, you can't do everything. LOL

I know she sang it in Vegas, I've been at the opening show in 2011, but I thought since she was in Belgium now she would sing the song

 

She told an interviewer in France that she was not going to sing NMQP again. He asked why, and she said, "Because he's already left me."

I don't think she's given up on the English side -- I think she just genuinely enjoys singing a lot of the English covers, and connects with them emotionally more than some of her older material.

 

Covers like TSMGO and Over the Rainbow . . . those are among her most stunning performances EVER - English or French.

 

But Celine's singing covers never really bothered me.

Hey guys! I just came back from Antwerp and had the privilege of staying at the same hotel as Celine's entire crew (musicians, technicians and Véronique) and had the chance of meeting most of them in person.

 

These are the SURPRISING things that Scott Price (musical director) told me when I approached him to say congratulations for such an amazing concert:

 

 

· All the songs from the Summer tour were picked by Céline herself.

 

· The orchestra has been rehearsing the song 'Breakaway' for the Vegas show. (He didn't tell me exactly when and if it's actually gonna make it to the show).

 

· Most of the musicians would love to play 'Didn't Know Love' at the show.

 

· When I asked him about why Celine keeps singing mostly covers in English, he told me it's her own decision. They keep insisting her to add some of her more obscure English material to the shows, but she doesn't seem to be very interested on doing that at the moment.

 

· And here comes the big thing: If you have any suggestions (songs you'd love Celine to sing live for example), PLEASE post your requests on Celine's official forum. They read it and love to get feedback from the fans.

 

 

 

PD: I wasn't sure of where to post this, so mods, if you feel like this post is wrong here, please move it to a better thread.

 

FINALLY someone asks the REAL questions when talking to someone who works alongside Celine! THANK YOU!

 

I'm very relieved and happy to hear Celine herself chose the songs for this tour. The fact she remembered songs like "Tous les secrets," "Le vol d'un ange" and "Tous les blues sont ecrits pour toi" is fantastic! I wonder if she has any other surprises in store for us later!

 

I'm also happy to hear the band has been rehearsing "Breakaway." While I would prefer to see "Somebody Loves Somebody," "Thank You" or "Unfinished Songs" added from the "Loved Me Back To Life" album, I'm also not going to whine and moan. It's a Celine original with power and gusto. I hope this is officially added when she returns in September!

 

"Didn't Know Love" is an absolutely beautiful ballad from "Loved Me Back To Life." It would fit in so well with the vibe of "Celine."

 

Regarding her English material, I think we now have our answer about how Celine views her English career. It seems to be more of just a job for her, whereas the French side is where she does what moves her. So, I guess the English side is the job she works to pay the bills, while the French side is her passion side where she really shows who she is. That's too bad. Hopefully this will change. I have faith Scott and/or Aldo will be able to help convince her there are some really amazing gems to her English discography which weren't hits and/or singles.

 

In regards to this "forum" Scott speaks of, he must not be aware the forum on her site was shut down months ago. People are unable to leave comments or interact in any way, shape, or form at CelineDion.com. So, with that said, if people want certain songs performed, I implore you all to message them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram! Also, I'm going to take this a step farther and encourage people to write them LETTERS at Caesars Palace with your requests, wishes and thoughts. Now that Scott has said they welcome it, there is no reason to not talk about it from here on out. I will be writing a letter myself in the near future.

I don't speak french, but i am guessing that celine wasn't able to take the selfie as the person behind celine who is filming with his/her phone has the flashlight on. So the phone camera wasn't able to focus with a big light right at the back. So i guess that's why celine turned around and ask to turn off the flashlight. Just my guess.

The end was very emotional, crowd sang along SSDA and she let us sing more parts than yesterday, big standing ovation!

In the beginning of the video one of Celine's guard smacked the hand of the first women taking a selfie with Celine. That was un called for and dissrespectful .. She was just doing something many people do when going in for a picture probably just out of habit. I completely understand that his job is to protect Celine especially now in these days but he could've been nicer.

I'm sure the English tour will help promote the new English album and be in places like UK, Poland, South Africa, Italy etc.
